Losing is one thing. You can just lack talent.

This bullshit is unacceptable. ZERO sharks players? Its a 5-0 game. Good on Vancouver for checking on him, clearly an accident. But to have zero teammates come over is a f***ing joke.

No camaraderie

Team needs a major overhaul

Yep. Tinordi is awful. He's feeding a bunch of undeserved muffins to every Canuck on the ice if he's a Shark. You can be bad. You can be out matched. You can't be soft. You can't be out worked.

Would love to try and acquire Kent Johnson.
Not really a Davidson player. He’s talented enough that it wouldn’t matter too much, but I can’t imagine the price would be anything short of astronomical and Davidson isn’t paying that for a guy that doesn’t really fit the MO

Yeah but not every player needs to skate like the wind in my opinion.

Did anyone see Marchands dirty play vs. The Leafs last night? I mean, it could have been an accidental trip, but you can't really give the guy the benefit of the doubt either.

The thing that gets me, is there wasn;t a single Leaf player that got in his face. Not right after it, nor for the rest of the game. Here is the play, and below that the interaction with Marchand and the Leafs bench immediately after the play.

Notice the lack of anything from anyone but Reaves (who isn't going to do anything sitting on the bench all game anyway), and then look at Bertuzzi. What a clown show the Leafs are.

To be completely honest... I don't see anything egregious there. I'd be the first to call out Marchand for being dirty. I hate him. This is a nothing play with a bad result, which is probably why there isn't much reaction from the bench.

I mean, he stuck his stick in between his legs in a very dangerous position. After watching it I didn't think it was intentional, but just who it was would at least get a reaction from me. People make clean hits all the time and teams jump them for it, it wasn't nothing. The guy pretty much had to be carried off the ice.

It's not so much the lack of reaction, but Bertuzzi laughing and guys just showing no emotion towards him after seeing your teammate get hurt bad should get some blood boiling.

I mean... Liljegren is even the one who slows down to initiate contact, and it's this attempt at a reverse hit/body block that causes him to go down awkwardly, not the stick of Marchand. Marchand was going to tie up Liljegren's stick. His stick didn't cause the fall. The unfortunate positioning of it probably made it worse, though.

Again, I'd be the first to call out Marchand. He's probably my most hated player over the last decade+. This is not dirty, and I don't think he had any ill-intent, outside of just a normal race to the corner for a puck battle.

When I say it's a nothing play, I mean it's just a standard NHL foot race to the corner where guys work towards tying the other up, or obstructing one another, and just had an unfortunate result. Not that I mean that it's a nothing play even though Liljegren was hurt.

Should his teammates have had a better reaction? Probably. I'm just commenting on the idea that it could be perceived as dirty. I don't think it was. Don't even think it was reckless. Just an accident with a shitty result.

That's a two minute tripping call. Bertuzzi smiling is a bad look though.
I don't even know if I'd call it that. Liljegren initiated contact, which is what put him off balance and headed towards falling in the first place. Pretty obvious laws of physics at play here. Marchand at full speed and Liljegren slowing down and attempting to move in the opposite direction for a "body block" are really the determining factors. I think the stick factored into making it worse than it should have been, as Liljegren's leg gets caught up on it in the air on the way down.

That's typical Marchand... so sneaky dirty that some folks are deceived into thinking it was a normal hockey play. It happens way too often with this guy - he no longer gets the benefit of the doubt. This was a Marchand pitch fork play - Liljegren will be lucky if he escapes having a broken ankle as a result.

I assume you're referring to Jack; unfortunately I'm not watching but I hope it isn't serious.
Yeah.

Lower body after taking a tumble into the boards from what I read. Happened in the 1st, he went out for one more shift, then was ruled out to return. Day to day with a LBI.
