If that song is Don't You Forget About Me.......you are way off base. LOL! It is a great song for a kid from the 80's. But I agree it would make no sense as a goal song.

It’s a terrible song and it’s about a guy lusting after an underage girl until everyone went “bro…” when he first gave that explanation and he’s been claiming it meant something else ever since.
Plus, loads of idiots really get into it when it’s playing, basically everything else is much more easily ignorable. It is the wave of stadium songs.
