Should the NHL increase the %of teams making the playoffs?

Original 6 = 4of 6 made plalyoffs =2/3ds of teams in....

1ste xpansion= 8/12 = kept rational atc2/3rds got in..

Did not research when % dropped to 50% onlybgotvin...but it probably Should go back to what itcwss with 6 and 12 team leagues and 2/3rds got in.

Now it is a long playoff grind at with 4 best ofv7s that a team must go through to get to Cup..
8/16 1st playoff round winners
4/8 2nd round winners
2/4 Semi-final winners
1/2 wins Cup Fnal

So potentially max.of28 games played for a team to win up.

You do not want to add too man more games on top of that.

However what if you expanded the playoffs to 22/32 teams?
You would be adding 6 more teams to
Playoffs...3 more for each Conference...

So now each Conference has 11 playoff teams..
You then play a round Robin for each Cobference in a best of 3 ...11th seed plays 9th,9th plays 10th ,10th plays 11th...each gets 1 home game...if a team wins all 3 games then 1 game play -in for 2 remaining...if a team wins 2 of 3 they are in and then other 2 also play 1 game play in game...if each team wins 1 game then you seed by best goal differential and 2 teams are in from from each Conference to join the other 8 teams who are in from each Conference

Result is now a 10 team = 5 sets of best of 7in each Conference.

So you have added ONL 3 more games in the play in phase...

And instead of 8 teams playing best of 7s in each Conference in round 1,you have10 teams in round 1 best of 7 Conference Playoffs ...
This adds a week to the playoff season to have the 3 gane round robin play insin each Conference...
The extra week off with byes for the
8 cinched playoff teams whuje pkmlay in games take place are a perk for the top seeded 8 teams
8 teams in each Cnbference.

So should the NHL add teams to the pjayoff picture like in the above scenario?

It would add 6 bubble teans that failed to make
the conventional 16 team playoffs ...

It would Remove teams 11-16 from the lottery .

So only te worst 10 teams can be in the lottery ..
This truly gives help to the worst ten teans in tge league not a whoping worst 16..

Imagine if an improved bubbke team like Buffalo still cannot get in to top 8 in East playoffs..Now they get that chance.
I just think it would be better if morecteams got a pkayoff chance ..

Boldy is talented. Same risk as the Stutzle deal, but betting on good young talent through their prime years is the new way teams are building and I get why.

Typically I scoff at some of the contracts guys get coming off their ELCs, but that's a reasonable one
