Never really got hype around Girard

He looked good a few years ago but in recent play he has struggled and looked like guy Avs should consider moving while his value around league is still high

I would think about picking up Jakub Vrana off waivers. 2 years left high cap and some personal problems but a good player if hes out there and they need someone for the young guys to build off of.

I dont know what his issues that hes been put on waivers but the hawks have time to let him figure it out and let him be a part of the future.

Im not sure another team wouldnt take him for free. Hes paid at his value and for only another year.

The reason hes available for free is the risk of the substance abuse. Otherwise hes a .7 ppg player making 5mil.

There definitely more to this. Who knows if hes just done playing hockey for a while.
