Nothing in hockey is more annoying then dmen who do exactly that. How is it not drilled into them by the time they’re 11 years old.

They certainly try. But in the middle of a game, adrenaline flowing, it seems easy for your 'reptile brain' to override all that training. You see a player with the puck and think 'I can get it!' and everything goes to hell.

That's why poise under pressure is so well regarded in dmen. It's a constant amoung all the greats.

Hockey is a game of mistakes. If every player played perfectly every shift, nobody would ever score a goal.

We don’t win Game 2 without his contributions producing and in the leadership department tonight. He was barking orders on the PP, getting the bench going when we were down 2. A great mentor to Bouchard as well. Well worth the full cap hit. A legend and hall of famer. If ya’ll need a team to bandwagon during the playoffs, Oilers fans would welcome you if you want to go on one more run with Kieth.

He's one of the best defensemen of all time. His playoff performance in 2015 is the shit of legends. One of the best performances by a defenseman in the playoffs, ever. You're lucky to have him in the playoffs.
