TB had no energy in OT. Looked completely winded.
Cernak injury gutted them. In an OT game he’d normally log a hard 20+ minutes and only played 7 total all night. Game changed with his injury.

Getting some 2010 deja vu.
On Kane's goal, I was watching Sharp the entire time thinking Kane was going to feed him a backhander at the top of the circle. Didn't even see Kane shoot, just saw Sharp's reaction lol.The benefit of 2010 OT goal reaction was Kane knew he scored, so he commences to celebrating while players/stripes weren't sure. This one was funny cause Kadri was still giving puck effort after he scored.
That would have been a crazy backhander lolOn Kane's goal, I was watching Sharp the entire time thinking Kane was going to feed him a backhander at the top of the circle. Didn't even see Kane shoot, just saw Sharp's reaction lol.
The Avalanche had 6 players on the ice for the winning goal. Shouldn't have counted but they didn't (couldn't?) review it.
Just delaying the inevitable if they took it back (the series win, not necessarily a game win tonight) but still... stings for TB to have lost on a bad goal.
Also, Chu-chu train is BAE:
Those who knew Byram's game agreed that he was very close to NHL ready right out of Junior... and they were right. A couple of years later he is playing like a solid veteran. The level of confidence Byram is playing with is depressing as a Hawks fan.

Yep. Avs speed game and TB playing essentially the entire game with 5 Dman took its toll.TB had no energy in OT. Looked completely winded.
I've never been to Ottawa, but literally everything I've heard is that the Sens barn is in the middle of nowhere and a pain in the keister to get to. This would seemingly be right in the heart of Ottawa, so potentially a gamechanger move for their franchise.
Distance-wise the Canadian Tire Center is as far from downtown Ottawa as the United Center is to O'HareNever been myself but from descriptions and pictures it would seem (Or at least was) like putting an arena outside of Peotone for Hawks to play in
Really can't compare the 2. O'Hare isn't the outskirts of the market, millions of people live a highway away in every direction.Distance-wise the Canadian Tire Center is as far from downtown Ottawa as the United Center is to O'Hare
Actually, there was a multitude of non-calls in the 3rd period .... with seconds to go in regulation a blatant hook against a TB player who had Kuemper down with a wide-open top half of the net. Meanwhile, the early minors against Stamkos and Hedman were a product of the refs trying to even up the penalties (even though they didn't exist). Not gonna lie it was kind of poetic justice watching Kadri score a goal on a missed call after he got tripped wide open in the slot in the last few minutes of the third with no call.
Is that all it was or did Kadri enter the play long before the player he was supposed to replace was close to the bench? (Actually, he never did get off the ice)Lazy line changes happen a dozen or so times a game. Much ado about nothing.
I thought there was even an extra Tampa player on a sloppy change that play. It happens all the time and they were not calling anything midway through the 3rd on. it had to be something like a high stick to get called or boarding.Lazy line changes happen a dozen or so times a game. Much ado about nothing.
Exactly. Much more blatant penalties went uncalled that could have easily ended the game sooner. All 4 refs missed it, so clearly it didnt affect the play that much.Pretty much nothing was getting called from the end of the second on. And there were calls that could have been made against both teams. The refs had put away their whistles, and that wasn't going to change for a ticky-tack tmm penalty.
If anybody on the Bolts, players or coaches, thought it was too many men, how come absolutely no one said a word about it until Coopers presser? The answer is because it wasn't an egregious tmm.
Coopers' "my heart breaks for my guys" bullshit is laughable. Especially considering the Bolts have been holding sticks and running picks the entire playoffs, without getting called.
All four officials, and everybody on the Lightning.Exactly. Much more blatant penalties went uncalled that could have easily ended the game sooner. All 4 refs missed it, so clearly it didnt affect the play that much.
My heart breaks for my players BS, please, maybe they should have ended the game sooner or stopped Kadri from scoring.
