Damn, Barkov still has 5 more years at 10 mil per? Imagine the howling on here if that was Toews back in what 2013 for it to be comparable? Duclair still has two years at 3 mil, Forsling two more years at 2.66. I'd rather have Zadorov back if we're wishing for former Hawks defenders.

Barkov at 26 yrs old

39 G
49 A
88 pts
+36
Selke Finalist this year (Won it last year)

Why would anyone be complaining?

And Duclair and Forsberg are among best bargain contracts in NHL

Wouldn't be surprised at all if STL gets by COL in 6 games.
Wouldn't be surprised if TBL runs over FLA in 4.
I'd be surprised if CAR drops the series to NYR.
I'd be extremely surprised if someone didn't die in the CGY/EDM series.
1 down, 3 to go. Smith wanted to die, but Lucic felt it was too early in the series.

Complain? Probably because Barkov didn't show up in the playoffs, he showed no intestinal fortitude and his Presidents Trophy winning team was lost against a true SC contender.

Was it the last time they played the Hawks toward the end of the year that they were bullying and throwing their weight around, looking playoff-ready against an overmatched team? I was expecting the Panthers to be more physical if they weren't going to win Game 1 or 2, at least rough up Tampa and wear them down a bit to possibly make it a longer series. Not to mention whatever they gave up to get Giroux. Total disappointment all around.
