The bag system was dumb as hell. The store will actually be an upgrade over that assuming you can earn coins without paying.
That was my thought as well. Outside of a few choice items, there's really nothing that I care about getting from the bags, so being able to just unlock these will be nice. Hopefully there's no strong push to force people into buying digital currency.

Anybody got an extra code for PS5? Apparently I wasn't lucky this year.

I hope that’s a new animation for “about to get suspended for charging” because that’s not a “checking” animation in any capacity. Can they not just have two hockey players actually check each other for motion cap? Are guys launching themselves at dummies like stunt doubles the only alternative?
We all know that was a good clean hit

Pathetic greedy bitches. Battle passes, coins etc. Only thing missing is a slot machine. Of course this is nothing new, but that doesn't change anything.

Only a fool supports a company that openly pisses in your eye.
Not angry about the battle pass in EASHL, honestly. It's something they should've introduced years ago, considering player customization is a huge money maker in most online games today.

As I've mentioned before, EASHL should be curbed towards being a free-to-play stand alone with an upgradeable battle pass for the competitive elements of the game. Zero licensing required. Just 6v6 competitive hockey.

Usually I'm not one to beg but if anyone has an extra playtest code for Series X (or Xbox One) you'd make my day, second year in a row I'm getting shafted by EA. Thanks! :)

I have no problem with the WOC store as long as you can also grind the same items/perks as people who buy them. I love the addition of allowing drop-in players to get into club games. It has been a wishlist item for me for a long time because it should really minimize the times you need to play club games with bots.

Doesn’t play too much different, but the changes are still very evident. They definitely need to increase the goalie’s stamina. He’s completely spent after like two shots against and after that he can hardly move. The new controls took some getting used to, but otherwise it’s familiar but different enough to feel fresh. I like it.

Played a couple games. Feels a bit smoother and the passing seems better.

Seems they made it easier to do the Michigan. That could get very annoying

Thought the game felt really good, much smoother. If you want to play against the AI just go into HUT and play the "moments". The game has potential to play really well with some good slider sets.

Typically with battlepass you have seasons, and you're not buying a brand new game each year. I think that's the problem here. I agree, if you're going to go down the money route here, it should be a free-to-play, or a game you put out every few years, while making server/client side updates/patches.

The lacrosse goal is gonna be a problem this year…
Part of what made that move special was it was hard to do

Signed up for the play test and got diddly. Even reaching out to players on Twitter when they post they have codes to give away, but still got nada.

Appreciate everyone's feedback/reactions on here so far.

So why do people who don't like a game and don't play a game flood the threads about the game?
This seems to be the crux of your gripe.

I'll offer a possible answer:

They used to like the game and want to play a newer version of the game that doesn't stink. They're saying they won't buy it (although I'm sure some will) in the hopes that their words reach the ear of the execs at EA who then decide to make improvements/changes.

I liken it to when I used to work in retail and an upset customer would say "you're losing my business." As an employee I always laughed and thought "good." In the grand scheme of things, it'll hardly be a blip on the radar to the company but it sure made my life easier not having to deal with that scumbag of a customer.

I like that the new meta for this game is people complaining about people complaining about the same things every year.

Just so you know, I won't be buying Baldur's Gate 3.

I just don’t get it,

This game has everything!

I’ve played online games where it felt like real hockey and I’ve played online where it felt like arcade pinball.

Unfortunately that’s the way this game is built and until it’s COMPLETELY revamped, that is what all of you will get.

Don’t be surprised when next year and the year after and the exact same game just “updated”
