It hasn't leaked in years. NHL doesn't permit anyone with a phone into the drawing room and nobody leaves until the show airs.

What's interesting is I'm not exactly clear on when the drawing happens. It could be happening right now, though I doubt they'd all sit there for four hours. Probably occurs 30 min prior.

Do they actually do the video of the balls dropping? I thought they started with the cards in order of the teams draft position revealing 1 at a time. I missed the start last year.

No on seeing the lottery balls. Yes, I think they reveal team logo cards pulled from giant envelopes or something. And the picks are revealed in reverse order with 16 being Calgary and 15 being Nashville…

The one team that really could afford to wait for Michkov is the Hawks. If they knew he would be available in 3 years I could see them taking him after Bedard. Maybe even the Sharks. But I'm just not so sure either of them is willing to wait, who knows how many, more years than 3. I'm guessing neither of them take him.

I'm not even so sure anybody takes that risk ahead of Smith. I could see Michkov go 5 or lower. I guess time will tell.

I agree, Hawks and Sharks can wait because they are going for top 5 pick next year also...its better keeping Michkov outside of tanking and let him develop in KHL.

Lol I committed a monumental f*** up at work. Basically stayed up all night fixing the f*** up and then committing like 6 hours to the next task on my plate and it's not even 3 yet. I've already worked a full ass work day on no sleep and it's not over yet. Soooooo, take that with losing like 500 dollars on tickets and booze to that abomination of a hockey game on Saturday, I sure could use something to lift my spirits.
