He has a better shot and projects to score more goals. He has much better acceleration and his overall skating ability is a cut above. He plays more physically than Carlsson and disrupts the defense more with his speed and checking.

A quicker acceleration is extremely useful in all three zones, but Fantilli will definitely fight more to get the puck back because he can get on top of you using his first few strides better than Carlsson.

At the end of the day... i was just happy that we were leaving the draft with 1 of bedard fantilli or Carlsson.


Not getting bedard sucks, and it sucks more losing him to a team like chicago(any other team i woulda been fine with).... but were getting a fantastic player regardless and another big pieces to add to mctavish terry and zegras up front.

Got plenty of good dmen coming up the next 2 years and dostal looks like hes going to be the future in net for us.

we fired eakins, and can get a real coach in now and really see what these kids potential is.

Fantilli completely torched the NCAA in his draft year. He's a bluechip prospect and IMO is right there with guys like Eichel, MacKinnon, and Matthews.

I see him getting about 60 points in his rookie season
