Quick is rated 93 for the same reason Eli Manning constantly gets high ratings in Madden; clutch factor.

Both guys follow the same MO; Do nothing/average at best during the regular season, and then inexplicably turn it on come the postseason. There's no goalie i'd rather have when the chips are down.

The top 10 itself is mostly correct. Everyone they have there is a top 10 goalie in my mind..except for Andersen. Halak or Fleury would get that spot imo.

Good god Craig Anderson is so underrated. When this guy is at his best he is a top 10 goalie in the league easily, he just gets injured a lot. As soon as I get the game I will lower Andersen and raise Anderson.

If thats the case, what the hell is the reasoning for Fredrick Andersen jumping Crawford? Not only was Crawford much better than Andersen in the regular season AND the head to head in the playoffs, he then went on and was the Hawks best player in the SCF.

Andersen was ranked an 84 i think last year. He was below leauge average sv% this season, Played two good playoff rounds against subpar teams, then fell apart against the best team he played. And he jumps to top 10/an 89 overall? Same old EA. I really wonder who theyre paying to do these rankings...

He's just a 91 and he was rated 6th, while he was the second best goalie in the league IMO.

I don't agree with that Andersen rating, but I guess he is that high because Anaheim is just a great overall team, and having a **** goalie would hurt simulations(?)

90% of the games I play are online. You can't really do that online, so there is reason for concern.

There's no way Suter is above Karlsson...even Subban I would say is better than Suter at this stage. Pieterangelo is a 90 on reputation...I would slot Giordano into #10.

Karlsson
Doughty
Subban

Based on their rating system (defense ratings boost more than offensive).

These are really bad should have been a 3 way tie at 94/93 OVR for Doughty, Karlsson, and Keith. Suter has no place in the top 5, Weber being ahead of the three mentioned earlier is lol worthy. Karlsson and Hedman are pretty much the same according to EA sports logic.

Who gives a crap about overall ratings? The only players that it actually reflects much with are goalies.

The problem is that EA always places too much emphasis on strength/balance when it comes to overalls.

The relative importance should be something like: 50% offense (passing, shooting, awareness/vision, etc), 30% physical attributes (speed, acceleration, balance, etc) and 20% defensive (stick checking, awareness, etc)

It's a joke. Weber and Suter are incredibly overrated. For some reason, Letang and Giordano got overlooked. Karlsson should be #1 or #2.

These ratings are a joke, Weber 94!?!?! Suter 93? He isn't even a top 15 d-man in the league(well if you look at Advanced stats he isn't) where the hell is Giordano??? Josi is good but I would never take him over Giordano. EA's a joke. I would take Stralman over Suter and Josi too....

It's because EA's rating system is weird if your a defensive defensemen and have high defensive awareness it makes the overall much higher then it should be but their individual stats are lower.
