I made a joke about this myself

Having to listen to AV talk on NBC would give me severe PTSD

Can't wait to hear about all the "good looks" in each game. Or how about his pronunciation of "puck"? It still makes my left eye twitch.

Yeah this pretty much screams that they're waiting for either an NHL asst coach/AHL head coach (hellooooo Keefe) in the playoffs currently.

Again, there is no rush on this hiring. Gotta make sure it's correct.

I'm cool with being patient and going hard after the guy you really want as long as you're sure you'll get him. Nothing worse in a coaching search than losing a game of musical chairs.

Yeah. It’s got to be a coach who’s still coaching. If not the final choice, someone or some people for whom they’ll hold-up the search.
Do we know how many people they’ve interviewed so far?

Not that he was ever mentioned in this thread....but PEI native and ex Senator head coach Dave Cameron who was recently dismissed from his assistant coaching job in Calgary has signed on to be the head coach of the Austrian Capitals for the upcoming season .

Really ballsy to call a TO while on the PP. Giving the top unit rest while changing up the game plan a bit while sacrificing the potential of using it later in the game when your guys desperately need a breather when stuck on the ice.

I like it. Probably not too useful at the NHL level, but still fun to see.

Well... Sturm is still coaching at the World Cup... sure would be a curveball even though I think it all points to Keefe.

Anyhow, has a team ever fired and then hired the same coach again because they couldn't find a different coach? I know Therrien was fired from Montreal and the re-hired 10 years later by them.

Of course I don't think this would happen but I'd find it quite comical if AV will be re-hired for next season.....

A bit like when Ted DiBiase introduced fake Undertaker...
