They were after Samuelsson to be an Asst. previously. I'd be ok with Hartley as head coach and replace Lowry with Samuelsson and keeping Sturm to run the O. Hartley holds guys accountable and did an admirable job in Calgary. Feel the same way about Roy. Dont know much about either being a good systems coach though. But accountability and bringing emotion absolutely. AV I'm not a fan of. McLellan is meh to me. Could go either way.
 
I really wouldn't mind Dave Tippett. He's been out of the NHL since 2017 though and I'm a little surprised no teams are interested in hiring him.

He just signed off to be an advisor for the new Seattle team, though. Not sure if he'll be able to get out of that.

2014 Olympics. He proved how bad he was when the games counted. He threw both Brown and Quick under the bus after they lost against Canada , then left Quick in for all the goals in the Bronze game as they got lit up. Blame them both for the loss, especially Brown because he took a bad penalty , when in fact HE QUIT after the loss to Canada and phoned in coaching the Bronze game. He got fired In PITT and Buffalo for a reason...because he sucked!

He blamed Quick for a 1-0 loss?
 
I am for Marco Sturm as headcoach. The way he ran the second unit was very nice.

If the entire team can operate that way then the team should drastically improve.

Another day another disappointing news story for the Kings. You hope Todd McL is able to find a way to do a better job integrating young players than the last 3 coaches. I’m worried we’re going to get 20+ minutes nights from the aging vets.
 
McLellan couldn't get a veteran Sharks team to win 1 game after going up 3-0 against us.

I have very little confidence that he'll get our lazy veteran players to respond.

One positive is if he fails, Blake and Luc are gone.

I'm assuming TM will bring one or two assistant coaches with him. No issue here if they dump Lowry.

I'd imagine Jay Woodcroft could be coming in as he was with TM in San Jose and Edmonton. Woodcroft is currently serving as HC in Bakersfield.
