I have a feeling the league ditches the way they had the skills competition set up after this year, it did not go over well with the general fans from everything I've seen online. Yes, we want to see McDavid in fastest skater vs MacKinnon, but we also want to see other legit speedsters like Necas and Larkin, we want to see things like Weber and Chara popping off 105+ slappers. And yet with this format we're outright denied the Necas, Larkin, Weber, and Chara's of the league. 4 teams made up the vast majority of the skills competition, and a couple others were allowed to participate at various levels of "give a f***".

Not only that but guys making like $8M/yr competing, $1M isn't chump change but also not going to make or break these guys. I agree everyone should get some sort of shot and have a qualifying event or bracket challenge or something to narrow the field. Also maybe instead of competing for money themselves how about like Celebrity Jeopardy where they're competing for a charity of their choosing...split among the top 5 $500/250/125/75/50k

At least they have a few seasons to plan now with the 4 Nations face-off and the Olympics.
Though like any good organization I fully expected them to procrastinate on figuring it out till about January of 2027.

It is definitely a “unique” design but I like the thought behind it. I can see why it would be hit or miss though lol!

As a white guy I think its pretty sweet and the inspiration behind it is cool also.
But yeah I buy the "cheap" jerseys not the "authentic" ones because a shirt i will only wear at games and at home when they are on that cost more than $200 is not for anyone in my tax bracket.
Honestly I love going to a few games a year and love that they are winning, but them being a winning team is pushing tickets out of my price range also

Oh yeah. When I say "overpriced" I mean just by what make sense to me to charge for a random cotton t-shirt. I think it's very "reasonable" by the standards of what they are accustomed to charging us for a t-shirt lol.
Same. I was thinking I would be willing to make an exception for the Rose Jersey, but I can't justify THAT big of an exception right now lol.
I see some of the sizes are selling out, though, so I'm glad people who are willing/able are supporting it. Real bummer for me though.
