holy hell that's a new low. I'm shocked the NHL would let them pull that stunt.

Ya, that is a pretty weird stunt. Don't they know better? You won the Cup last season, now it's a fresh slate.

So after every Kings players was introduced before they got their ring, they gonna pass the cup to each player and name them again? Really? Raise that damn banner already.

Lifting the Cup again seems completely wrong to me. I really hope this and the patch don't become a tradition.

Great job by the NHL. Pissing of the fans again on the first day of the season already.

I'm just pissed with the whole thing. I'm trying to give the Philly / Pens game a chance and it's making me sick that there isn't a single empty seat in sight. Like the last 4 months never happened lol.

I just can't get into the game. Hopefully watching the Devils will fix that feeling.

How was showing the Kings' ceremony pissing off the fans? Unless you mean the fans in Philly and Winnipeg who had to wait an extra half hour, because of being delayed last-minute. Why should I care if Philly-Pittsburgh starts at 3 or 3:30 though?

I have no problem with them showing the ceremony but there was no reason not to switch to the other games as soon as the ceremony was over. no reason to make everyone watch Kings-Hawks first. And if they would have actually showed the correct puck drop times on NHL.com i wouldn't care, but when they say each game starts at 3, i expect the game to start at 3 and not 3:40.
