Including this season, Trouba has 2 years left at $8M/yr. He’s a liability.

Anders Lee has 2 years left at $7M/year. He’s a leader and producing at a decent clip.

Who here thinks that we could unload Lee without any retention and get a fourth round pick and a player whose salary we could bury?

It’s a rhetorical question. Somehow the league and other teams bend over backwards to accommodate the Rags. F’n ridiculous.
This statement is so true. It also tell you how little the league respects the Isles to be honest. Always been this way. The Rangers and Isles could want the same player and the other team will ask for double from us what they want or ask for from the Rags. It's so disheartening.

Isn’t the player Anaheim sent to the rags not very good, and also on IR?

I still can’t get my head around the Rags not having to send assets or retention back to the Ducks on the Trouba trade. I’ll say the following assuming that Anaheim was on his no trade list and the player could have just blocked the trade.

It appears that Drury played hardball with Trouba threatening that he would waive him. As an Isles fan, I wish Trouba would have called his bluff. As much as he sucks, he’s still one of the Rags best 6D men and the team would be worse off if he were in the AHL.

And we could have offered Mayfield to them for a 1st . . .

Mayfield ain’t going anywhere and he’s a dirt cheap contract.

The Ducks literally paid Gudas $4M per year to sign away from a SC contender that eventually won a Cup. That’s what teams in Anaheim’s position have to do. Gudas chose money and ice time over anything else. Good for him.

Might be old news and hadn’t seen this anywhere - just turned on the Candiens/Ducks game and Hickey is doing color. Didn’t know he was getting national opportunities. It is the Amazon Prime game. Good for him.

It is funny how desperate Drury is that he’s become a leak machine the last 6-9 months. Dolan must be riding him real good bc the basic out for a GM is firing the coach, yet he’s holding onto Lavy (not saying he should be fired, but Drury is swimming alone on this one, a situation he created).

Kings doing a number on the rags.
I was just driving home and turned on the NHL network radio on Sirius. They had the Rags announcers. It was 4-0 and LA then scores to make it 5-0.

The announcers say that “none of this is Shesterkin’s fault” and then they go on to say that the Rags miss Trouba.

In an Isles season with few bright spots thus far, this put a big smile on my face.

Never change Raggie supporters. Never change.

President's Trophy to.... whatever they call that over at MSG. Sheesh. I don't know if I've ever seen that before from a team where they won the President's Trophy and then absolutely cratered the next season.

They're gonna run into the Lundqvist 2.0 Era by locking in Igor.
