I do prefer Horvat to him just because he seems like a :eek::eek::eek:. Isles have an awesome locker room, wouldn't want to mess that up
Ohh I prefer Horvat for a lot of reasons. Just stating JT Miller was really good. Not trying to compare the trade or who was targeted.

It’s been speculated that it was Miller in the off-season. Wonder if Horvat was always Lou’s target?

Greetings. Not an Isles regular but I just listened to the Marek show and Thomas Hickey was on during the last segment. He was introduced as the Islanders' analyst but it wasn't specified if he was doing radio or tv. I haven't been able to watch as much as hockey this season as in past years though I used to watch quite a few of your games and Butch Goring was the color guy? Is he gone? In any event, Hickey sounded good and it's nice to see that he's still around the team.

Kind of a pet interest of mine, top 5 draft picks who don't really work out though he did have some decent seasons for you guys.

Goring is still there as the color guy, Hickey is the analyst between the benches and during intermission. He's done a great job transitioning into the role this season.

I
The Sabres have one. They just didn’t play him tonight.

I really like Lukkonen. I think he can be a star in this league.

I don't know, I am not sold on him at all. His numbers are all over the place. Best case, I think he is a platoon guy. And he needs a significantly better partner than Comrie or 81-year old Anderson.

He has the tools. He’s big, gives you nothing to shoot at, and he usually controls his rebounds. Probably a good goalie coach could help his consistency. A team that plays defense could help him too.

Another list of college UFAs of interest:

Of the players mentioned on this list (and, well, most of the others too, but there's no paywall here), I can see McKown (C), Ostman (G), Malinski (RHD), and Swankler (F) being the types of guys the Isles might have particular interest in, if they're even targeting anyone at the moment.

Reminder:
The Isles currently have 5 contract slots open. Haven't checked to see which contracted players could eventually leave the system this summer.

I still think we'll just see one or two lower key college guys added by BPort on 2-way deals.

Sorry to see Fletcher go. Now the Flyers might actually get it right and become a factor in the Metro one day.

Maybe we could trade Bailey for 5 Maple Leaf contracts? I seem to remember that happened once before . . . maybe we can snag another Verhaege and KEEP HIM this time . . .
