For all the heat that Romanov gets on Twitter and other social media sites, I had to check on the "illustrious" Nils Lundkvist in Dallas.

Nils is around the same age as Romanov and acquired by Dallas for conditional first AND a fourth round picks, which was a deal that I remarked on at the time and hated.

Getting a first rounder for a weak defenseman, who requested a trade and was uttelry buried on the Rags depth chart, was a good get for Drury and a desperate overpay by Dallas.

In case you were wondering how Nils is doing, he has been scratched eight times so far this season, including March 9th, and has a brutal 2.5 point share to Romanov's 4.0 point share.

The Isles received Romanov and also the fourth rounder that became Isaiah George.

But I am sure the fancy spreadsheet crowd loved that trade and will say, just give him time! Yet I don't see the same patience with Romanov.

Weird.

Buffalo had some real good chances in final minute to win it in regulation

The Rags are barely hanging on right now.

They needed to add toughness and defense, and got neither.

Pitt, Caps, Hurricanes and Panthers have a chance to do some damage, they just need average goaltending (looking at you Jarry) and to stay out of the penalty box.

Just dont give the zebras a reason to blow the whistle 3-5 times a game and force them to play 5 on 5.

Woof, this could have been a disastrous night for the Isles. Luckily Florida only got one point out of their game and Ottawa just went down 3-0 to VAN.
Just finished watching replay at Fla/Winnipeg. Gutty game by Panthers. 2nd of back to back, came back from 2 goals down in 3rd. Gonna be a looong last few weeks for us

$5K is nothing to a player making millions per season. Until the league starts handing out meaningful suspensions (more than a game or two slap on the wrist) plays like this and much worse will always be part of the game.
Its done to set precedence with the individual player, not as an overall deterrent.

I’ve seen the Sabres a couple of times recently and Dahlin of course stands out.

I was surprised at Power’s play, no pun intended. He’s ridiculously green so there’s plenty of room to grow but right now he’s making plenty of mistakes.
A lot of that is him hitting a wall due to heavy usage. Injuries have led to Dom having to lean on him way more than he should, he has actually been very good for most of the season.

Also a shame NyR scored the regulation goal right after what should have been a cross check penalty not called.

And another thing, Vonnegut, i was against this until recently, but the if league wants loser points, they should go to a 3 point for a regulation win then, and only 2 for an OT win.
