There is no way teams like DET/NJ/SEA are for real right?
Detroit is only one above real .500 and Seattle is even. Both will hover around .500 or dip below for the year.

The Devils are the real question mark on if theyre legit or not. Another 35 shots against a bigger grinding team and just swept Western Canada

Correct. Didn't say your opinion was untruthful, but that you aren't really discussing from an honest place. As in, not trying to engage in an adult conversation and instead are trying to troll.

Care to actually respond to anything I wrote? Of course not you clown.
You're incorrect.

I was responding to this "discussion":
"Disgusting. f*** this dude. What a racist psychopathic piece of shit."

The family of the kid he bullied for 7 years doesn't want him to because they feel he ruined their disabled son's life with repeated abuse
I understand, but you do realize they're not operating from a rational position.

I try and see things from all sides....It'll all work out the way it's supposed to either in this life or the other.
If you've never seen it, the story of Chris Herren called "Unguarded " is a great depiction of how a troubled guy can turn his life around. I remember Herren as a college hoops stud at UNLV

It looks like the Maple Leafs need a goaltender. Again.

Ilya Samsonov wrenched his knee against a Brad Marchand penalty shot yesterday.

When you go into a season with a broken one already and did so only because the GM has a preexisting relationship with him…

Detroit and New Jersey are going to fight for playoffs spots, not sure about Seattle. Seems a little early for them still.
You favor Detroit over Buffalo? I'm undecided on the two. But I do feel that some of these teams will get in AND will likely be first round exits. Only because the goaltending, defense and mucky nature of playoff style hockey will still be a a bit of learning curve for them.

But who knows... still early and a lot can happen yet.

Toss up for sure. I think Detroit is more solid in net right now and they don't have any dumb contracts like Skinner so I guess I'll go them. They do have two good defensive prospects/players though so it's really interesting.

RIP to Pete McNabb. He was with us right from the beginning in 1995 and was part of some legendary teams. He was diagnosed last year and had to step away from the team to have treatment, only to return in time to watch one more championship. During the cup celebration on the ice you could really see how emotional it was for him, especially when he was talking to Erik Johnson. He'll be sorely missed :(

f*** cancer.

Posted elsewhere that Andy Taylor (Duran Duran) is losing his battle with stage 4 incurable prostate cancer. I didn't realize McNabb was that bad. I read in Feb that he was in remission.

I remember him in the finals vs Philly in 1975. Glad he was alive to see his enshrinement in the US Hockey Hall of Fame last year

Yeah, he was still calling games this year too, up until a week or two ago. Really caught us off guard. It'll be weird to listen to Avs games and not hear his voice anymore.

Early in the season for sure, but I'm thinking Shane Wright must be happy with what's happening is Seattle.
He was the picture of total dejection at the draft and it's always rough watching a young kid fall that way, a bit embarrassing I'm sure . Happy for him.

Sorry to hear this. I enjoyed him when he did color for the Devils years and years ago.

Good to see him get right up.

Ugh. That is a disgusting hit, just all kinds of wrong.

Re Mitch Miller - what's really going on here is that the NHL is being forced to clean up the trash for youth athletics. I'm embarassed for the youth leagues that allowed this kid to play through/after this, I'm embarassed for the USHL, and I'm embarrased for this now grown-up kid's parents. If the NHL gets legally forced to let him play, fine, but they have an obligation to be in a leadership role wrt youth athletics, and I'm glad that they are taking a stand.
