Nice, but every team has blown leads this season. It’s not Isles specific.
Nice, every team blows a lead once in a while. If you don’t think the Islanders blow leads at a historic rate, you haven’t been paying attention

Yes and no. We’re tied for second with the most blown leads after 2 periods this season. The Kings lead with 7.

I don’t see that as the reason we are in the position we are. It’s more of a statement regarding the holes on our defense, the third pairing in particular.

40% of all 2 goal leads in the NHL were blown so far this year

Alright, I guess we have to do some scoreboard watching if the Isles decide to show up now.

Flyers have a tough March - they’re who I’m looking at, over TB and Detroit.

Nice come from behind third period regulation win by the flames. Pitt blew a 3-1 lead.

And the Devils are currently losing, though it's still in the first period.

This is going to be a repeat of last year for sure.
They’re currently still losing, 5-1, with 2:31 left in the third. You may have survived the jinx.

Edit: you survived.

On an other note....

We've hit that time of year where CHL and then NCAA and then likely some European free agent signings will be rolling in.

We've already seen a couple of CHL UFAs signed this past weekend. Tampa grabbed two, if I saw correctly, so no surprise there. They've been an organization that moves the picks like tissues, but continues to bring in young guys who go undrafted. Some have paid off for the purposes of good organizational depth.

With 45 of 50 contracts currently being used and officially "0 $" of cap space according to CapFriendly, I don't necessarily see the Isles bringing in anyone, although the second tier players will likely be willing to sign an ELC that first starts up next season. The biggest names can likely get this spring to already count as Year 1 on whatever contract they sign.

It is possible - and perhaps likely - that Chris will add a player or two for the farm. Maybe even soon. That seems to happen almost every spring, even it it's rarely someone who ends up playing the next season in BPort.

Otherwise, any moves of this nature being conducted by the Isles may just have to wait until the free agency period in the summer.

The Islanders themselves have 9 UFAs and 9 RFAs this summer spread out between Long Island and Bridgeport.
