Nobody. If Smith had a backbone he would resign like Paul Maurice did in Winnipeg. DJ should be reading the room now. That seems like a terrible situation. What coach wants a baby sitter?

Maurice resigning was a rare situation and seemed more like a player issue, ie he’s reached a dead end with that crew and knew his standing in the league - he’ll get another gig.Nobody. If Smith had a backbone he would resign like Paul Maurice did in Winnipeg. DJ should be reading the room now.
The Senators placed another person over DJ Smith's shoulders to observe him, rather than firing him.
I could see Lou doing something like this with Lambert and it would strike me as a half-assed solution.
On the one hand, seems like an owner charity move - hey, look, here’s a guy people know from our past. That seems like a terrible situation. What coach wants a baby sitter?
Build a building, ride the valuation, make $100M+. The 10% is nothing, just pulling money out to pay for other ventures…like the shopping village. It’s technically ‘free.’![]()

Some bad goaltending tonight and for that matter across the league this season. The Oilers are all over the Hurricanes. 4-0 with 5 minutes left in the 1st period.
I wonder when they blow their 4 goal lead. Everybody does it, right?
PLOT TWIST!!!! Lou is getting the 10%!!!Scott Malkin’s been too busy to fire Lou.
You don't see too many goals like this anymore. Byfield has broken out this season...
The real power in the move is in those crossovers. Wow.A power move to the net. What a concept!

The PIT GM had a top end RHD for the PP, so he went out and got another one rather than filling other holes.Crosby
Malkin
Karlsson
Letang
Guentzel
etc.
Now on an 0 for 34 streak on the power play, and at 9.9% for the year
So much for assuming it is about TALENT
All perimeter, no net front presence.Crosby

They need Hornqvist back. All perimeter, no net front presence.
He’s a shitbag GM, obvious to most, but not all.The Pens' biggest problems last year were goaltending and forward depth, especially grit in the bottom 6. Dubas signed Acciari, which I thought was a good move. But that was pretty much it to address the big problems. He simply couldn't resist the shiny toy.
