What's up with Carolina? Is Dough Weight their new coach? They're scoring a lot but also have the most GA which is at 30 already. Thought they were good defensively and are one of the cup favorites this year. Maybe adding Deangleo and Orlov messed things up because one is a -6 and the other a -10. Sheesh

They’ve started the season on a brutal west coast road trip which I’m sure has played a psrt

Andersen is hurt. Don’t know who the backup is.

Have you considered that it's been 6 games?

Yes. It's unlike carolina to allow 30 goals in their first 6 games but I didn't know their goalie was hurt.
I was just wondering what was up, not saying they're a terrible team this year. I'm not the guy panicking about the isles after 4 games.

I think we often see this with good teams who have unfinished business in the playoffs. Their minds are so set on getting back to the playoffs that the regular season becomes a drag. I think this is why we often see these young teams do great in the regular season and struggle immensely come playoff time. Hockey might be turning into a boys game but in the playoffs it is still a man's game.

8 Goals in 6 games

Anyone who pushed back about acquiring him because (insert ignorant reason here) needs to go on Time Out for 30 days . . .

Gotta say, I keep hearing that Ottawa's hands were tied.

Debrincat is from Michigan and had some private reasons for only wanting to end up there. He wasn't really ready to accept any other trade desitnation.

Agreed
It was a shot at those who criticized him as a player
187g/186A in 450 games before this season shows he’s not a one-trick pony
I watched some of the Detroit games and the Larkin/Raymond/Cat line dominated possession. That’s a serious line that will have a great year.

You mean like us too right?

Right?!?

You got to love how Brady Tkachuk's automatic one game suspension for instigating a fight in the final 5 minutes yesterday (which would have kept him out of the game against us tomorrow) was instantly rescinded by the NHL. What is the reasoning behind this? I thought it was automatic not a case by case basis. He started a fight in the final 5 minutes = suspension. You think there is any chance in the world the NHL would do that for us if one of our players started a fight in the final minutes? They would probably double the suspension if our team appealed it.

He's a star that's why

If you think Anders Lee or Kyle Palmieri are on the same level of Brady Tkachuk that's the problem.
So, wait a minute, I just want to make sure we are not having a miscommunication. Are you referring to what DOES happen or what SHOULD happen? If it is the former, then yeah I already admitted that by saying there is no chance that decision would be made for one of our players. If it is the latter, then are you insinuating that you think that is a proper way to handle discipline in a professional sports league, to have different rules and standards depending on the the player and team?

I'm just a fan man, I'm just saying what is going on.
