Boston's goal differential is currently +103.

Number two in the league is NJD at +54.

That's f***ing insane...
they've only had 11 games this year that they didn't get any points. You will most likely have a large differential with those numbers.

Florida had a huge advantage in remaining schedule a short time ago with all their home games but, tomorrow they are wrapping up a 7 game homestead with the devils. They are 4-1-1 on the current homestead. remaining 14 is 7 home and 7 road. . For tomorrow, at least, Go Devils!

On the other hand we have 6 home 6 road, but two left with TB and Washington .. plus Toronto, Devils, Canes and Sabres making up 8 of those 12. So not an easy schedule. (although who knows what teams may start sitting guys last few weeks ..

Once the playoffs start I think goaltending will make or break these two teams And Carolina. I can’t call their goaltending a weakness based on the regular season they are having, but let’s just call it unproven in the playoffs

Ulmark’s 935 save percentage this season vs his 2 playoff losses .860 playoff experience is a perfect example. You have to wonder what happens to him mentally if he gives up a bad goal early and finds himself in a tight 3rd period in Game 1.
Swayman actually has more playoff experience and is better but not convincing. Understood that Boston’s complete package makes these two guys better and the odds of both going south is low, but the playoffs is a different animal and confidence is everything so if Boston is gonna be taken out, someone will be jumping them early.

Schmid has zero playoffs experience and Vanecek is like Ulmark

Carolina gets a booste if Antti Raanta’s injury is a non issue considering their other goalies playoff background.

I know the same can be said for Sorokin who showed pretty well in limited action in 2021 and who we would count on to be the difference which is why Varly is still an Islander, if we get there.

Goaltending is makes the Rangers so dangerous for sure.

appearing more and more the veteran teams like the Isles Pitts and Florida will be fighting for the last 2 spots. Should be an interesting 10-12 games. The young teams kind of wilting down the stretch. Watching the Cats closely in Florida.
The Isles, Penguins, and Panthers are all done playing each other for the year. Pens may have an easy schedule in terms of strength of competition but it's packed in terms of travel and playing every other night. Wouldn't surprise me if they stumbled on the way to April.

Technically, the Isles have the "easiest" of the 3.

Go Devils and Rangers today. Boo.

I’ll state the obvious but just take care of business. Teams have a way of winning what looks like a tough game on paper and vice versa.

With their injuries, thought the Canes had opened up the door for the Devils to take the division. Instead Devils are 0-2-1 in last 3, 3 points back and Canes have a game inn hand.
