Pshaw... I'm more impressed with the shooter! In a ten second clip, matched Bailey's game high in shots.

Yes, yes, yes... it may be NYC, but when you're the American hockey player out with the "boyz" in the team, you're always on the fifth wheel on the car.

Even if you're half Swedish...

And if we got him it would be "We don't need another 40 point middle six winger!"
I still get that but really? this is something even I expected lou to be in on. Isles really gotta find a way to improve offense, but who knows anymore. it feels like trades are the only way to get new players here

At that price and term he’s a bargain.

I know it’s apples and oranges but does that mean Kadri’s asking price is bound to come down?

Don’t do it Lou.
Kadri the player is a fit for the Islanders. If his term and price came down enough— a 4 year deal— Lou should pursue him.

Kadri’s current ask of a 7 year deal is out of the question for us.

If he isn't an improvement why should Lou be in on him?

The more I think about it, the more Kapanen reminds me of Beau. Good skater with low hockey IQ and disappointing but very similar production.

Unfortunately for the Isles, Beau’s AAV is $4.15M vs $3.2M for Kaponen. I still hold out hope for Beau but at the same time I won’t be sad to see him go if it’s for a decent price.

Considering the contract given to Kapanen, I have to assume that Beau is overpriced in the current market. Hard to imagine Lou will get anything of value back in a trade. Better to hold on to him and hope for an upside surprise.

FYI I see that the NHL network will be playing our first two cup wins at 2PM and 4PM today. (Just watched the Canadiens with their 4th in a row against the rangers. That Habs 4th cup was painful as I remember thinking it should have been us but we got upset by the rangers. Montreal and the Isles were the best teams during that regular season, we had 116 points to their 115 with Boston 3rd with 100. Trottier won the MVP. As the story goes we just didn't know how to win yet but would have loved to see those two teams clash in the finals during that period to pass the torch properly like we did with Edmonton. We almost got that rematch 2 years ago, we would have won it IMHO)

Kudos to Johnston for acknowledging the sequence of events that occurred last season.

Redmond is phenomenal on the desk, she should be a staple going forward. Highly aware of what is going on with seemingly every team.
well i think everyone should remember that, but i want every NHL writer to forget about us. write us "in" on the bedard sweepstakes to prove people wrong. I want another Rodney Dangerfield season.

Not sure if you’ve been paying attention/saw the pictures but NYI players are definitely not listening in to NHL Network during their offseason.
