Also wanted to post somewhere that we have arrived now at the hardest 10 game stretch of the season.

3/11 - Vegas (home)
3/12 - New Jersey (away)
3/13 - off
3/14 - Winnipeg (home)
3/15 - off
3/16 - off
3/17 - Toronto (away)
3/18 - Philadelphia (away)
3/19 - off
3/20 - off
3/21 - NY Rangers (away)
3/22 - off
3/23 - NY Rangers (home)
3/24 - off
3/25 - Toronto (home)
3/26 - Boston (home)
3/27 - off
3/28 - Tampa (home)

That's 3 back to backs and ultimately 9 games against playoff opponents in a stretch of 10. After that we have to end with the easiest schedule in the league. Lots of cupcake games.
We're doomed.

We have 8 points this month already. I think as long as we get to at least 20 and go at least 1-1-1 in the three top end metro games, its a successful month. 12 points out of the remaining 11 games is very doable.

That would be 106 points with 8 games left

I've settled in nicely to flipping it around and believing that all of these teams have a rough ride coming up. Nobody is happy to see Carolina on their schedule.

Carolina isn't trapped in here with this schedule. This schedule is trapped in here with Carolina.

You can choose to be all rainbows and unicorns if you want to, but the reality is we're doomed!

Agree. I'm hopeful we beat Jersey more than anyone else obviously. But the most important thing 1000% is to stay healthy.

Lastly, we know the Canes take their foot off the gas a little against weaker competition. I predict we could go doom and gloom 'round these parts if the Canes go, say, 5-3-1 in the last 9 game stretch against bad teams. It's not bad a bad record on its own, but it's bad for the Canes this year. Rod I think will try to play the third pair and bottom 6 as much as he can in this stretch, and players will get maintenance days. We're kinda fortunate that literally the last 9 games are against the bottom of the league, so we could feasibly play our AHL squad against that group. Let's hope of course we win the division so we can play the Islanders in round 1.
