its crazy that STL gave up 5 1st rounders for Stevens the year before. Then had to turn around and give up Stevens for Shanahan a year later in another offer sheet.

Another interesting thing is that Holmgren called Brindy into his office and asked what he thought of Keith Primeau. Brindy had played with him in international play and said he was great. They insinuated they were considering trading Lindros and Rod told Holmgren "you can't trade that guy (Lindros)". He asked Holmgren if he (Rod) was being traded and Holmgren assured him that Clarke wouldn't trade Brindy. Rod got the news from Paul Maurice.
He also said Lindros was probably the best player he's ever seen. Could just do it all.
EDIT: one other funny comment. Someone asked Brindy if Clarke as a GM was always in their face and Brindy said no. If he saw something, he'd tell you but he wasn't constantly getting on them or inserting himself. He did say one day he (Clarke) showed up at practice in full gear and said he was going to teach them how to be good at face-offs. ha ha.

Didn’t realize David Ayres had landed a professional coaching job for a team in the SPHL. Unfortunately, that team is no longer around. They simply didn’t show up for a game and then everyone found out afterwards they had folded.

On a serious note. Have you ever tried this product called Allerpet? It’s on Amazon. It’s a liquid you rub on to the cats every 10 days or so. If you haven’t, it’s a game changer for anyone allergic to cats. My friend watches my cat pretty often, but very allergic to cats. When I apply Allerpet, he gets hardly any symptoms from being around and petting my cat.
