LOL I changed my mind, Rangers gonna boot stomp NJD because Kravtsov was exiled to the cliffs!
We almost lost to a Penguins team that just wasn't nearly as good as we were. It took time for us to get our sea legs. The rangers came in last season with no playoff experience except for maybe Kreider and Panarin and made it all the way to game 6 of the conference finals. I think too many here put too much stock in playoff experience.
Trocheck and Goodrow are very underrated rats/shit disturbers. This is our first series against the Devils since I’ve been a fan, but watching old footage of Rangers vs Devils man I wish we had a true Avery type agitator. Like a Brendan Lemieux. I hope there’s hatred in this series but I do think our roster makeup is a bit vanilla personality wise and I don’t know how much they’ll try to get under the Devils skin
Goodrow and Trocheck.I wish we had a guy like Esa Tikkanen, he was such a pain in the ass in '94. attacked the net with reckless abandon.
Lindgren and Trouba get under everyone's skin as well as Trochek.I wish we had a guy like Esa Tikkanen, he was such a pain in the ass in '94. attacked the net with reckless abandon.
Goodrow and Trocheck.
I wanted Acciari for that reason, you saw it last night on that goal he scored.I wish we had a guy like Esa Tikkanen, he was such a pain in the ass in '94. attacked the net with reckless abandon.

Loved Tik
Vatrano, Strome, copp wasn't small but also not a physical presence. Too much emphasis being placed on size is dumb anyway.Sure but aside from Panarin we had no small players in our entire top 9.
The devils have 4?
Unfortunately you can't have one without risking the otherPotential for some overwhelming joy or excruciating pain
Avery was a f***ing game changer in these series in the past. Made it soooo much fun too lolThis is our first series against the Devils since I’ve been a fan, but watching old footage of Rangers vs Devils man I wish we had a true Avery type agitator. I feel like not nearly enough stock is being put into playoff experience.
We don’t match up well with NJ, but most of their team has never been to the playoffs, including Meier. We loaded up on a bunch of vets and had a nice run last year.
Can’t discount that.
The Penguins dominated the Rangers all series. It wasn't particularly close. I'd prefer not to harken back on last seasons playoff performance because while it was fun it was a total fluke. We almost lost to a Penguins team that just wasn't nearly as good as we were. Such a disappointment to get 10 playoff wins. 10 totally fluke wins......doesnt count. The Penguins dominated the Rangers all series. It wasn't particularly close. I'd prefer not to harken back on last seasons playoff performance because while it was fun it was a total fluke.
Not sure i'd call that small. not a big guy but I dont think 5'11 is small. Hughes is 5"10 (maybe) and thin.Vatrano 5' 11"
Man if I was playing in the series I'd do the Avery on their goalie just as a tribute and for the memes lol, Goodrow & Trocheck are a bit chippy but I wouldn't call them agitators/rats by any meansUnfortunately you can't have one without risking the other

doesn't matter. didn't matter for us against the most experienced playoff team in creation when they were up 3-1 in the series last year either. Meier is built for the playoffs and he's going to be a huge pain in the ass. he can score and drive play and he's going to abuse our defensemen as well.
Id take that bet - most coaches place a ton of weight on experience, size, physicality and goaltending, all of which are advantages for the rangers.I'm willing to bet that every coach in the league would much rather game plan for the Devils than the Rangers. You guys aren't giving this team enough credit, warts and all. 12 deep up front, 4 or 5 high-quality defenseman, including one of the best in the league, and a monster in net. If they lose it's because they beat themselves.
