Ah fair enough. I didn't know there what rep was associated with what cities/towns in Minnesota. I was referring to this Ask the Canes

He probably thought he could come way down South and hide his true nature. I'm sure Faulk answered "cake" as a sign he wasn't fooled by that lying' angel food-lover either. Cookies my ass.

I'm not gonna root for the team to lose simply because a great draft pick won't change much next year.. JR should be fired and if not, he needs to overhaul the team.

This mix is not working. One player doesn't change that.

A great draft pick will get us close to changing things and being better next year than a mediocre one will. I'm not in favor of cheering for them to LOSE per se, but im in favor of not cheering for them to win.

If we can get a top draft pick, JR steps down, and we get Ward pack healthy next season (plus a good stay at home defenseman in the offseason, in addition to the possibility of Jones) then i think NEXT season we can legitimately have a good chance at going deep in the playoffs.

Didn't the 02-03 team have a similar stretch?

Yes - and it was actually a lot worse for that team.

0-8-1 for a 9-game winless streak and 8-game losing streak

1-15-1 was their longest streak with only one win.

An epic slump of 3-25-4 without two consecutive wins. Then they ripped of four straight wins... and finished on a 0-6-2 slump.

This was probably the season where I watched the least hockey in my life, and now I'm glad for that.

The sad thing is, even if they finish with 36-38 points, which is my prediction, they still may have 4-5 teams finish with fewer points! They can't win for losing! Literally!

Poor Tripp has only had theoretical goals to discuss lately so the line between reality and dreaming has blurred. He's actually upbeat about what ultimately failed.

LOL....Jordan celebrating a shot on goal!

Winnipeg now has a very comfortable lead in the SE. Muller and company can now stop talking about winning the SE. It will not happen.

Caps are up 4-0 and the Canes are down 3-0 and Tripp continues his never ending job of trying to blow sunshine up our tails...

"If the Canes were to win this game and the Caps were to lose tonight, the Canes would suddenly be back to controlling their own destiny against the Caps".

you guys can thank me later. Obviously me showing up for the 2nd was what was needed in the push for Seth. Got to enjoy less then 12 minutes of hockey before it got to the point where I got up, walked out to the concourse while giving the team the bird, and watched Wichita State get screwed over by the refs.

The worst part of all this, is it doesn't feel like the team is playing bad every game. It's just a few players who absolutely torpedo us with unfathomably bad plays.

What do you do as a team when Ellis just hands a goal to the Rangers, or McBain double teams the invisible player behind the net? You can't fix that.

You let the sieve that is Ellis walk, you trade McBain for a forward with some size, skill, and grit while he still has SOME value this offseason, and you draft Seth Jones with the #1 overall pick.

Upgrades the defense automatically, and letting Ellis go is addition by subtraction.
