I'm almost positive the moment they were talking about was not Simmonds. Might've been hall. Zucc got shoved while he was on the ground after batting the puck out of the air with his glove. The refs whistled it dead because of a "hand pass". Zucc got up and shoved the guy who shoved him. And I think Adam Hall punched him in the back of the head. Then Zucc got the penalty.

Zucc scored maybe 5 minutes later, and him and Simmonds began shoving each other. No one got good punches in, the refs were there nearly immediately.

I know what play you're talking about. That was a different one. After Zucc scored, Simmonds punched him in the back of the head. That is what he and everyone is referring too. Not the cross-check he received from Hall after his cross-check on Timmonen.

Seems like this can be a Xhibit meme.

I don't remember seeing that to end the game. I saw them coming together, with Zucc getting in a headlock, and then the ref had take a helmetless Simmonds away.

Simmonds punched Zucc in the head as the puck went into the net. It was all in one motion. Zucc was following through on the shot and after the puck left his stick, Simmonds punched him. Which is why that scrum occurred.

Anyone else bothered that AV pulls the goalie with 5 minutes to go. If we pot one with the goalie within those 3 minutes, then you pull the goalie with 2+ to go.

I though 5 was absurdly premature.

Straight ROFL at the people blaming Hank. Yeah, definitely his fault we have a bunch of small, ***** players who are allergic to winning puck battles. Refuse to go to the front of the net. Can't get a forecheck going, can't get to rebounds, can't win board battles, can't make plays with any type of pressure being applied. Average team with above average skill that is one dimensional and relatively easy to prevent from scoring.

No it was to the back of the head. Typical ***** move by Simmonds, but nothing out of the ordinary. Zucc went back at him. Teams had a minor scrum. Simmonds got thrown out.

Typical BS from him. Nothing new. Zucc was fine.

Glad to hear he was okay. Thanks.

Nash needs to take over a game. I've been a defender of his, but the lack of fire in his gut is just nauseating. We all saw how he played in that Columbus game. We know that he has it in him to play with urgency and a bit of nastiness. For $7.8M, he needs to impact the game more than he does.

Lundqvist needs to share some of the blame, as well. He's our 2nd highest paid player, and will be our highest paid starting next season. For him to be worth it, he needs to steal us a game this series. Yeah, he hasn't been brutal in really any of the games, but he hasn't stolen us even one. Steve Mason, at $1.5M, is out-dueling Lundqvist. Let that sink in. The $5.375M difference in their cap hits could have bought us a very good player. If he's not going to be a difference maker, why even bother paying a goaltender that much?

3.27 GA in an 11 game sample? Pretty telling. Team plays poorly, but so does Hank. Not immune to criticism.

He's not the reason we lost, but he is definitely a reason.

While I don't necessarily disagree, he's not paid to play the way he has been.

No he ****ing isn't. Simmonds got basically two tap ins, a beautiful deflection, and Gus' goal was on a breakaway. Absolutely not his fault in anyway whatsoever. Team took a COMPLETE dump in front of him. That's what is comes down t. Can't score, can't defend. Average tyeam that is destined for a 2nd round exit at BEST> Same as every year,.

I don't think he had a terrible game but that third goal he let up could of been prevented by actually committing to going out for the puck instead of retreating back too late. It's one or the either

Ok and what's your point? We had deflections that tied up Mason and a few break aways and odd man rushes... he saved all of them until his team had a commanding lead.

On the 2nd goal, Henrik was giving terrible rebounds up, left and right.

G, McD, Stralman didn't help him. The offense didn't help him. But he also didn't help them too. We were so dominant in the 1st period, and Mason single handedly kept the Flyers in this game and in this series.

Henrik could not do that when they turned it up in the 2nd period. He's not the reason that we lost, but he sure as hell didn't help the team stay in this game. And he's sure as hell not playing like the highest paid goalie in the league. No excuses. People make them for every bad game that he has.

team played horrible in front of lundqvist tonight, with Girardi easily playing his worst game as ranger...

however, lundqvist, blew it on the 2nd goal by committing too soon and flopping on his chest...

and not stopping the breakaway by a bum defenseman?

look there's more problems with this team that we can cover, but lundqvist is a farce. he's no king, and he's not a big game player. he's too emotional, and can't raise his game when it counts.

8.5 sunk into him. an very good reg. season goalie.

playoff choker...

I only watched til the 3rd goal but IMO the first quality shot we got on Mason was shot 18. Lots of low butterfly and chest shots. Hes an average goalie, we can beat him if we challenge a bit.

The D stunk mostly Girardi got in some good hits. Hank didnt have much chance on the first two and the third was a stinker all around.

The team must have done ok in the third giving up 5 shots.

PP coach needs to wake up and draw something other than pass to Richards and have him shoot cause Philly got that covered.

Im nervous. Thanks again Rangers.

LOL, check his playoff numbers, they're more than fine. Maybe if the team could score, or not run around like a bunch of chicken on defense some games (like tonight).

Part of me wishes the team didn't have Lundqvist, but a subpar goalie. Maybe they'd appreciate Hank then.

I'm done with hoping for some kind of wake up call for Nash.

Everyone predicting he'd score tonight... Maybe his most invisible performance.

I'm done w him... I want him gone. 3 Assists or not.

Would we? Because the Flyer's have Mason, and he's a subpar goalie, and they're doing just fine.

Henrik is messed up since the change in the goalie pads. He used to be money on breakaways, now he stops very few. The 5 hole has become a problem. He has absolutely regressed from last year and the years before just in time to pay him $8 Million per.

Everybody regroup tomorrow is another day...Short memories for everyone...This isn't even worth talking about..Boyles first career win in a fight good for him...I expect a huge game from MSL in game 7

A very good thing there's alcohol--particularly beer. One can forget a lot of problems if he/she has a goodly supply of it.

Anyway I'd rather not be the bearer of bad news but teams that go to 7 games in the first round--and I'm speaking of the Flyers as well as the Rangers aren't very likely to make it to the finals. A sad fact of life unfortunately in our case. The one thing that can be said is that so far no one is really hurt--and if we could get Kreider back before our season ends it would be a big help.

They also have a competent power play.

And they don't stop playing when they're down.

And they constantly change momentum of games.

And their penalty kill is light years ahead of ours.
