Look there are a lot of things about the officiating this series that pisses me off but this one was 100% in the Rangers' control. Sames as game 3.

D and Hank need to step it up or it's time to hit the driving range.

If you guys haven't figured it out: A common theme with the Rangers is when they are allowed to coast; they will. Thats been a consistent factor with NY for a while now. I don't have an answer to where it originates from.

Honestly, AV should be blamed for this game as much as the players. When it was 3-1, that should have been the appropriate time to call one. Instead, Rangers let the scabs get a 4th one shortly thereafter. And him pulling Talbot in the end..just..DUMB!

Exactly. Hell, the team even managed to battle back into the game, and they still couldn't pull it out. They need to start executing when they have a chance to put the series away.

I don't think so. The problem is the Canadiens are being allowed to play a physical game along with embellishment, and it's not really getting called.

The Rangers ARE taking penalties but the refs are choosing to ignore (yes, they're ignoring NOT missing) a lot of blatant penalties on the Habs. ie: too many men on ice.

The officials need to start paying more attention to the embellishment. They called one, they need to call more.

Hey we are supposed to be Happy that they finally called one. One out of 10 should make us content

Pretty awful effort. Can't see a repeat performance though. I expect Lunqvist to come out pissed off and focused in game 6 and I'm confident the Rangers can pot 3-4 on tokarski. However, if they manage to screw that up, I'm not sure they can go to Montreal in game 7 and pull it out.

Wow shades of the Philly game 6

We sucked tonight

Exactly what I was thinking...shades of Philly's 4-0 win over us Game 6 opening round. I don't know maybe I should be more upset but I'm not. VERY and I do mean VERY hard to beat a team 3 times at their barn. Yes we did vs Pittsburgh but it's so rare. Maybe that's why I'm not so pissed seeing I thought this was going to be a tough game to win. Habs have alot of pride. They are a good team and so we need to do what I thought we would do before series began...win this puppy in 6 something I am supremely confident we will do. Keep in mind fellas, this Ranger team we are looking at is alot different than any other Ranger team we've witnessed in decades. We are resiliant and we are no question better than Montreal. I think we also see this Tokarski guy isn't the next Ken Dryden afterall. I think we solved him. MSG will be rocking and think no question we end it and likely will be getting ready to play the Kings in the Cup Final. Relax folks or ledge jumpers. If I told you we'd be up 3-2 heading to MSG before series, 99% of y'all would have taken it......all good here in Ranger Nation from my perspective!!!

Ugh. The most important game in our franchise's history since 1994, and we come out like this.

Gross.

The interference off the puck, and the cheap stickwork too is just being ignored.

Game 6 is a must win in my book. Burn the tape on this one and move on. Hopefully MSL and Richie will settle this team down and end this on Thursday. IF not I think we lose the series.

This game was a carbon copy of Game 5 of the 1994 finals.

Whole world expected a closeout. Vancouver races to a 3-0 lead. Rangers tie it up 3-3, and seconds after Mess tied it Dave Babych scored a horrible goal and the floodgates opened. Richter and Leetch were horrendous that night.

Game 6 will be a cleaner game. This was an utterly sloppy game.

I seriously hope you're right. Not that I'm doubting them, but we've all seen 3-1 leads disappear. Just need to stay focused, and like you said, feel embarrassed and come out to close this thing.

They played very well after that embarrassing loss in Philly. I'm confident they will play just as well in game 6.

The goaltending let them down, and it kills me that a scrub like Tokarski won two games when the Rangers have one of the best in the league.

I was really disgusted by all 6 dmen tonight. In their own end they made bad choice after bad choice.

Henrik's lack of focus on the second and third goals were outright disgraceful. The Stepan goal was a rallying point, and it just went downhill from their.

Rangers defense has to wake up. This isn't their first playoffs.

I agree with this. Guess who's confident if both team play up to their potential. Me.

Really sloppy game.
Hank was really poor tonight. I didn't expect that, especially at this time in an elimination game. A bit disturbing to be truthful. He needs to be stellar on Thursday to redeem himself.
Some real defensive zone lapses by both the D and F.

It's time for Zuccarello and Richards to pot one. I'd add Poo but I think I have better chance of sleeping with the Victoria's Secret models in one night than him scoring again.

Hopefully history doesn't repeat itself and we lose game 6..

I don't know. Regardless of what the refs are calling and not calling, the Rangers are letting the Habs get under their skin. What John Moore did was inexcusable. The Rangers have been undisciplined the past few games.

And they did call one of the embellishment calls and we got a PP out of it, which rarely happens in this league. A step in the right direction at least.
