This game could have gone either way but Montreal got some big breaks. You guys will win Game 6.

They have shown themselves to be a prideful bunch this season so I feel good about it. Just nothing more aggravating than giving that team of a-holes and that fanbase something to believe in.

Good:
Kreider
Stepan

Bad:
Lundqvist. Has to be said. There's no denying it today
Girardi
Staal

Redden:
Dorsett. What an idiot

How did we come back down 4-1 I dont know, but then we gave it right back...Really bad goaltending tonight. Felt like Talbot was not ready at all once we pulled Lundqvist

Tone was set with a TERRIBLE penalty by Kreider.

I'm not too worried without Moore. We have enough quality dmen to eat up his 10 minutes. And I don't think Diaz is as putrid as people think.

Just wish the stripes would be consistent with their calls and stop letting the Habs get away with so many embellishments. Nice seeing Plekanec get called for embellishing. Milbury said something the other night that if you wanna get rid of this stuff give them 4 minutes or a major for embellishing. Might not get rid of it entirely but they would definitely cut back on it.

Just win Game 6 at the Garden and end this.

Did anyone expect us to go 3-0 in Montreal? If you did then you're lying.

gotta go on a mini rant.

First of, I have no problem with Habs fans oleing. You know, fans are supposed to do that, cheer on their team. So yeah, good on them for that ole chant. Shows a mentality of optimism, gives the team a boost. You know your fans are having your back, even if you're down in a series.

Secondly, parts of this fan base are the exact opposite of this. ONE. BAD. GAME. And the sky is falling. I'm not happy at all about our effort, make no mistake. We sucked ass defensively and I wasn't happy with our offense, despite scoring 4 goals. Way too cute on the PP, getting killed in the neutral zone and not having a backup plan. That said. We're leading this series 3-2 and for a good reason. MTL deserved to win this game and the second game. They got 2. We deserved to win the first, the third and the fourth. We got 3. A lucky win on both sides, but it equals out. Outplay them in the remaining game(s) and we'll come out on top. I know the Rangers have the ability to do that.

Lastly, I have no clue how some on those boards are refusing to give credit when credit is due. Again, not a good game by our guys. The Habs capitalized on that, they controlled pretty much the entire 3rd period after the 2nd was a ****fest from both sides. It takes a whole lot of mental fortitude to do that. This game gets played by 2 teams, and, taking out John Scott, the NHL consists of excellent hockey players who have the ability to outperform the opposition on any given day.

Sorry if I was out of line with some of my comments, it's getting really late here.

On to Thursday. Use Lundqvists anger about his performance and close it out in front of a frantic Garden. LGR.

The goaltending let them down, and it kills me that a scrub like Tokarski won two games when the Rangers have one of the best in the league.

I was really disgusted by all 6 dmen tonight. In their own end they made bad choice after bad choice.

I'm too lazy to look.

Has there ever been a team to blow a 3-1 lead in the CF and lose?

Drives me crazy the lack of effort. Half the players were invisible or seemed disinterested. Didn't help taking a dumb penalty 22 seconds into the game.

Nobody's talking about the fact the Montreal basically got away with penalty after penalty in the first period.

Right before the Habs second goal, there was some ridiculous interference they got away with behind their goal line.

Then Lundqvist absolutely ***** the bed. No excuse for his ****show tonight. NONE!

Montreal seemed to get every break and bounce after it was 4-4.

But Thursday is a MUST win. No way the NHL allows Montreal to lose a Game 7 at home on a Saturday night.

Guys we as fans were over confident going into this game, and now we are being way too pessemistic after it. We had three chances to close it out, now we have 2, with the next game at home. I will take that scenario every series forever for the rest of time.

Kills me that we came back from 4-1 just to lose it in like 50 seconds. The inability to close out a series is maddening.

that's really what kills me. To come back and tie the game... man we had them. the place was silent, Tokarski was shaking...

The rangers continued to play worse and worse defensively.

When they started the third, no urgency to tie it up? Just skating around.. why? You're the team that's up 3-1, just go for it!

Then the Moore hit and the pulling of Talbot with 4+ min to go...

Terrible , Terrible game all around.

Anyone who thought they would win after they tied it should turn in their fan ID. Am I doing this right?:sarcasm:

Total turd. Top to bottom. Both teams. On to game 6.

Patiently waiting for a game where Lundqvist outplays Tokarski, other than game 2.

Just saying.

Pretty sure Boston blew a 3-0 lead to the Flyers in 2010.

A game 7 in Montreal just can't happen. you can forget getting a fair shake that game. Might as well not even show up to a game seven in that place

I thought it could't get much worse than Game 6 against Philly, but I was wrong. Brutal game in every facet. To have such a crap game when they are so close to the finals is concerning.

To make matters worse, the Rangers are getting goaded into Montreal's ******** and are taking some stupid penalties. They need to focus on playing their game and not lose their composure. Let's hope this game wasn't a turning point in the series.
I don't think so. The problem is the Canadiens are being allowed to play a physical game along with embellishment, and it's not really getting called.

The Rangers ARE taking penalties but the refs are choosing to ignore (yes, they're ignoring NOT missing) a lot of blatant penalties on the Habs. ie: too many men on ice.

The officials need to start paying more attention to the embellishment. They called one, they need to call more.

Did AV call a timeout?

That's what annoys me to no end. Tonight isn't the first time either. You just came back from being down 3 goals yet you can't do anything to start the third only down one? Pitiful effort there, the passing was awful and they looked like they were just going through the motions.
