This is the nastiest series of the playoffs thus far. Crazy. There was basically no hate between these teams before game 1.

Montreal is a scummy team. But they're not overt. They put up an innocent front. They're like Macauly Culkin in The Good Son.

Whining. Diving. Cheap Shots. The **** that comes out of their mouths.

I won't hate a team more than Montreal for a LONG time.

Henrik Lundqvist
SA: 19 TOI: 28:58
GA: 4 SV%: .789

Cam Talbot
SA: 8 TOI: 26:47
GA: 2 SV%: .750

Dustin Tokarski
SA: 27 TOI: 60:00
GA: 4 SV%: .852

I read somewhere that in 2000 the Devils came back from a 3-1 deficit in the ECF and won it. The only time in NHL history when that has happened.

Yeah, someone else posted that and it's simply not correct. The 1942 Finals is basically the most famous comeback in NHL history. Detroit was up 3-0 and Toronto won 4 straight, meaning after game four Toronto was, in fact, down 3-1.

Great reference. In the end, Maculay Culkin gets tossed off the edge of a cliff by his own mother, though. Mother****er loses. Lets hope the same comes of Montreal.

Just leave this here for Hank for Thursday.

Bourque on Lundqvist: "Everybody talks about how he’s a great goalie. Has he been than (Tokarski) this series? I don't think so."

Is that the same Rene Bourque that has 21 goals in the last 3 seasons?

lol Dorsett

This happened this game? How did I miss this? Whenever this was this is inexcusable and just sad.

Yup. Where was his head? Tormenting a kid? Clearly his goal wasn't to win the game. No room for players like this. Trade him in the offseason. Idiot.

Well, I think the one thing was about strictly 3-1 deficits.

Hank can redeem him self if he comes out in game 6 and shuts out Montreal

He needs to. Don't let there be any doubt. Come out and completely slam the door shut.

I pray they can get it done, but being a Rangers fan my whole life, I'm significantly leaning towards them blowing it.

I'm not usually a doom and gloom poster, actually never since I've been posting here, or even since the 05 lockout. I've been pretty positive about the team building towards something. However, my instinct is taking over. I can see MTL coming in and getting two stoppable goals vs Hank and winning 2-1 on Thursday and then going back home on Saturday and beating us. I can picture it and it makes me want to throw up.

Both aren't putting up numbers like Mess and Leetch did. I don't think they come close to Graves, Zubov, and Kovy.

What would this board be saying in 94 when the rangers were down 3 to 2 against the devils or lost a 3 to 1 series lead against Vancouver.

uhh what did dorsett do exactly? i just see the kid fall on the camera cable?

Cable trips him up or he is practicing diving for when he plays for the Habs. They teach them young, whenever a Ranger gets near you fall down.

I missed the snow shower, I don't think that was intentional though.

I think the Rangers just won this series. I wouldnt at all be surprised if Henrik pitches a shutout in game 6.

Was never a big fan of Dorsett at all. Wouldn't be opposed to see him leave at all.

On the game though...the thing that pisses me off is how this team that is obviously superior (the Habs have only showed control through a few spurts throughout the whole series) and is playing a freaking AHL goalie can force a game 6. This team is blowing too many potential clinchers. They should not have lost Game 3. A team that wins the Cup wins games it's supposed to, and steals games they're not supposed to. They did that in Game 2, and did not win the game they were supposed to in Game 3. Then managing that comeback tonight, only to blow it about two minutes later on another defensive lapse. They better come out hungry at home and clinch this thing, because if they lose this series...Jesus I don't even know, and I don't want to think about it.

Funny, can't tell you how much I disagree with you and a few others who have said the same thing. Even if we somehow lost Game 6 at MSG which is NOT happening. But for chits and giggles let's say it does occur, with the Rangers stellar record in Game 7's over the past few years, with the best goalie on the planet and the simple fact other than tonight and maybe the 4-0 loss to Philly, we actually are a better road team than home team. Sure Habs would have momentum on their side if it got to Game 7 but this Ranger team is resilient as I've said hundreds of times and think we would have just as good a chance to win if not better than the Habs due to us having the King. I don't know, the Negative Nancy's in here need to get a grip. This is not the Ranger team that played the Caps in '09. This is not the same Ranger team that played the Devils in 2011 or same Ranger team that lost to the Bruins last year. This team is much much better.

Bottom line Nancy's...we aren't going to Game 7...we'll end it Thursday...

I hope your right, maybe I'm too old and remember how much Montreal has our number for years past how old some are on this board. I really hope I'm wrong and Henrik comes out full beast mode.

The game was lost on Mtl's second goal, Henrik needed to stop that. Outside of that, it was a pond hockey game on both sides. I hope AV reels them in.
