Damn them for not sulking. Damn them.

I kind of like them like this, get over the loss. Obviously, this isn't the 1970's where they get smashed everynight with booze, hookers, and the white stuff. They're highly regimented, AV let them do this with bigger goals in mind.

Losing game 1 isn't a death knell.

With that said, I wouldn't want the Rangers to jump all over the Kings early in game 2 and fade again. IMO that would be the sign of a team playing their heart out but just not good enough.

I’m not looking to have smoke blown up my arse but there are a lot of times this fan base is a turn coat whining…. ….Not sure what some here do when life throws THEM a problem Bla blab la

This team is busting their ass and bleeding for this Ranger team. They have done it all year. They are playing the BEST the west has to offer…. And took them to overtime.

Now we are in this to win it, make no mistake about it. Sure get frustrated but realize what this group of men are doing for our team.

Welp on to game two and a win…….. LGR

But sometimes that isn't enough. I hope the fanbase doesn't turn on these guys if the kings methodically dispose of them. I think the only real players deserving criticism are the higher paid players if they really don't show up, but I don't think any sane ranger fan can question the effort and desire of this collective group. No way. They could have quit being down 3-1 to Pittsburgh.

Unlike the other local teams' fan bases, we don't turn on our team. We continue to support them and attend games, win or lose. We've won the least amount of championships of any O6 team, yet we continue to come out in droves in support. What makes anyone think that a Kings championship/Rangers failure this season would change this?

I think some of the bandwagoners could, not knowing the entire story.

I think people have trouble comprehending the fact that Rangers fans get angry and boo vs. ending support for the squad.

Rangers fans get frustrated because we expect the best. For most of our history, we haven't gotten near that. Especially over the last two decades, where we bring in all these high end players and they just fall off. The worst is when we feel players/teams aren't giving their all. There have certainly been times this year where I've felt that way with this team. Last game was not one of them.

People should not confuse expectations for loyalty. This is one of the most loyal fan bases in American sports. I expect this team to give 100% night in night out. If I dont' feel they are, I'll be pissed. Never will I turn my back on them though, unless something severe happened.

Edit^^ Bandwagoners are not fans. You'll get the bandwagon when a team makes the finals, especially in a place like NYC. That being said, the real fans of this team, of which there are a ton, really don't waver much. IN fact, I'd argue that hockey fans in general are possibly the most loyal of any of the major sports when it comes to supporting their teams.

Well said!!! They loyalty of Ranger fans is never in question. Top 3 most loyal
Fans in all of Sports in my opinion.

As AHB said, bandwagoners don't constitute the "fan base". By definition, those folks come and go with the team's success.

I agree with AHB; fans will boo their team when they aren't giving an honest effort. I don't see this as the case here.....except for maybe Nash. He may hear some boos from some fans unless he starts playing harder and smarter.

I hope they didn't get sunburned. It sucks playing with a sunburn, I know first hand.

i feel like the only two we'd have to worry about in that picture are Kreider and Benny. and possibly John Moore. but Benny has some spray on lotion in his hand, so i think they'll be good.

What does anybody else think about the following adjustment:

Play Kreider less in front of net, have someone experienced + biggish do that grunt work, freeing CK up to out skate competition, get free for blistering shots. Some one else do tip ins.

Not a bad idea. Kreider should be the trigger man taking more booming slap shots. He can't really stickhandle. He's a power player who skate and shoot. Simplicity.

By "Not too good" you really mean sucked horribly. We can all agree the Rangers didn't have a good game. That said, Diaz was the worst player on the ice, taking into consideration both teams. Just awful.

Funny how so many people here wanted Diaz in for Moore in the Pittsburgh series. Moore is a much better all around player than Diaz (and one of the more physical dmen on the team which they definitely need). Rangers playoff record with Diaz in lineup is 1-3. Moore will be a huge upgrade.

Huh? Did you watch the game last night? He made a couple quality saves in the 1st period and the first save in the 3rd was pretty much near breakaway by I forgot who.

Think the play you are thinking about was St. Louis.

Hahahaha I just looked back at my post and your response and started thinking, did we just really concern ourselves about sunburns during the Stanley Cup Finals? Just funny thinking about that. Yeah they don't get much sun, that's pretty obvious.

Ranger fans: Do you think we will win game 2? Or do you think game 1 was our better chance to steal one on the road?

I'm concerned, because we usually play poorly in game 2's. What do you think happens in game 2?

I expect a win in game two. Honestly, I am tired of hearing how amazing the Kings are. Excellent team, yes. But I've watched them make plenty of mistakes too. They're human and they're beatable. You should obviously respect every opponent you meet and play intelligently. But if you are going to play, make it a bloody war and make them have to kill you to win. If the Rangers do that, with Hank manning the net, this series is winnable. The Rangers can beat this team and should play with full confidence in their ability to do so.

I didn't even realize their record was that poor with Diaz in the lineup. Thank you moore (hahhaha) ammo to keep him in a business suit.

Agreed, Diaz although not as bad as the 2 *******s Girardi and Staal, still doesn't belong out there.

Please clarify... did you actually say that Diaz is not as bad as Girardi and Staal? Because if that is what you mean, and if that is accurate, then I will not watch another hockey game the rest of my life!

Don't worry guys…the team is loose and feeling good about Game 2!
