Advanced analytics has our D line playing really well as individuals. But they don't play as a unit. And the defense itself is basically two separate units. JDR is lazy as f***.
The secondary is a traveshamockery. I would be much angrier about the fact that the team has not appropriately invested draft capital on the OL if it weren't for the fact that they have done a crap job of identifying talent with all the draft capital they have invested in the secondary.

We're getting gashed in the middle. Come on, JDR, we need some Phildarian Mathis action!

To be clear: this is a joke. I'm joking. (I think)

That’s the epitome of poor coaching.

Chase Young in particular draws really tough matchups and performs well against them. If I'm remembering right, Allen is also doing well. Those two alone are tying down so much attention that with any kind of competent planning or play as a unit (beyond "JUST GO") they should be having way more success.

Also, Fuller is playing great and we know Curl rules. There is enough talent on this roster to give offenses a challenge (even with a void at LB) and yet they're rarely challenged. They're getting the least out of the talent available.

Literally JDRs coaching game is “let the offense dictate”. Absolutely no smoke and mirrors whatsoever. No “make it look like we’re doing this when we’re actually doing that”.

They played well 2 drives the entire game. The first half Hurts was off his game, off target throws.
I disagree. The defense played really well in the first half. Philly’s halftime adjustments were the difference.

They keep saying “against one of the top d-lines in the league”. When is this F’ing narrative going to end??? The king is wearing no clothes for god’s sake.

We literally have not forced the Chicago Bears to punt. This is F’ing laughable.

I firmly believe that constantly rushing an LB or safety would do a ton to help the weak links. Reduce the amount of time they have to cover. I mean hell the LBs themselves are a major weak link in coverage so maybe have them start doing something more useful than being beaten at a thing they aren't strong at, and asking them to do the thing all the time.

Positive reframing of tonight: at this rate, we'll close the distance b/t us and CHI for Caleb to one game. The Bears squeak out more of their next 12, and we win the tiebreak!

I was at the Buffalo game so I didn't see social media freak out in real time plus that was a regional game

This is f***ing national TV. Everyone is tweeting.

Agreed. The coaching does nothing -- NO THING -- to help. The entire concept of the D -- utterly devaluing the 2nd level of the defense -- is stupid and has shown it does not work. But they keep drafting Safeties to play LB and it's stupid and it's shit.
The entire football operation needs to be replaced.
