Typical Vikings game. Score a lot when way down, make the game interesting, and then lose.

Maybe I should have said “Typical Cousins game”, but I did NOT

I'm probably going to burst into flames for saying this but Cousins was good other than the fumbles but he was under fire all night from that Philly DL savaging a Viking OL comprised of ushers and car salesmen. It was the MIN defense that mostly let them down, along with some players dropping balls or fumbling...like into the endzone. Derp.

Cousins was good. Not going to win too many games losing four fumbles as a team. Jefferson scores a TD on that fumble 99/100 times. Cousins is my backup fantasy QB but if that defense keeps giving up 30+/game he may have to supplant Justin Herbert because he’s going to have to chuck it 40 times a game to keep them competitive.

Minnesota is experiencing what would one would call, regression to the mean. Last year Minnesota was 11-0 in one-possession games; this year they are 0-2.

It’s dumb how the Cousins saga ended. Jay Gruden was on the radio yesterday saying they could have gotten multiple 1s and 2s for him but the dipshits running the team wanted to beat him into submission. Another example of Shithead and his merry band of bootlickers putting their egos before the good of the team.

Sounds like something their producers pulled out of their asses based on recency just to get attention.
Literally all of the shows are pumping the Jets to make a trade for a better than Wilson QB.

GET UP is Mike Greenberg’s show (noted Jet diehard), but all the pundits I‘ve seen the last two days on all the shows any network, think the Jets should make a big QB trade.

Any grilling or food plans for the game? I try to pair the theme up with our opponent. My family is big on football food.

RDR2 tapas themed ideas so far:
- bison steak pan seared w butter/garlic/thyme, thin sliced served w pan reduction
- trout pan cooked crispy w butter/garlic/thyme
- Colorado green chile w pork in crock pot

need some kind of veggie .. get the wife to make a veggie dip or roast brussel spouts w bacon

I would be ecstatic if this happened considering I have garrett wilson
I would not be ecstatic because I have Justin Jefferson. Not sure how it would happen anyway. Rogers is under contract for 2 more years and his cap hit in ‘25 is 51 mil and his dead cap hits in ‘23 - ‘25 are outrageous. Plus a trade for someone like Cousins would really piss Rogers off.

Rogers ain’t going out on the 4th play of week1. He’ll be back next season so I’d have to think the Jets will ride with Wilson until he returns.

Brussel sprouts with bacon. Add fresh garlic and olive oil to the pan as it’s heating up. When the sprouts are getting cooked add some sliced almonds and bacon bits or chopped bacon. When you’re about done cooking them, throw some balsamic vinegar in the hot pan at the end. If you really want to put it over the top, add some grated Parmesan on top at the end.

Thank me later.

It'd be wild if it happened and Rogers was part of the trade, so his post-GB career was identical to Favre's. Legend in Green Bay, big dramatic mess as a Jet, then on to Minnesota for a couple surprisingly competitive years, followed by a retirement return to his hometown to steal a few million bucks from poor people.

I mean, he could leave out that last part, but the rest would be funny.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made a move for an impact backup. We might get a call about Brissett, but if I were them I think Heinicke would be pretty high on my list. He'd be good if their O-line is dodgy, and our team really loved him, so he'd be a good presence whether he ever saw the field or not.

Well yeah, of course they're saying that. But targeting Cousins is likely just because of the game last night.

I've never understood this rule. Maybe it was put in place before other forward-fumble rules and is no longer needed.

Otherwise, what's the logic behind it?

If you fumble into the EZ and it goes OB then you should get the ball back at the spot of the fumble.

Why reward and encourage reckless play around the goalline?

if it does get changed (and it will), offensive fumbling team gets ball back at the opponents 20. if you fumbled it on a 2nd and goal play ... now its 3rd and goal from the 20.

Snyder is gone so anything is possible. If I were the Jets I’d try and pry Trey Lance out of Dallas. A Cousins move has too many moving parts for a mid-season NFL trade. And Brissett is Brissett. Although a 3rd for Brissett would be sweet.

I would be beyond shocked if the Skins traded any of their backup QBs for anything. Even a 2nd or 3rd, while a great return, could prove disastrous if Sam gets hurt, and he will get hurt if he keeps taking hits like that one in the first qtr where he almost had to miss time.

Cousins was widely mentioned Tuesday right after Rodgers went down . Cousins is in a unique situation as a QB playing out his last year at a reasonable cap hit. The most recent game simply worked up that lather.

Jerruh loves Lance….if forced to pick between the two, I’d stick with Wilson over a Lance trade if I’m the Jets. Much rather have a credible vet.

The hardest part of a Cousins trade is getting the Vikings to cut bait on the season early.

What new "reckless play" are we talking about?
