Perhaps today isn't the day, but I propose soon we debate the wisdom of not "wasting" 1st round picks on OL.

Maybe our shaky pass-blocking is better than our run-blocking? I mean, I really hope not, but, um... there's got to be some reason, right?
No. Speaking as a former O-lineman run blocking is easier than pass blocking. When you run block you know where you are going. You dictate things. In pass blocking you are reacting to the D-line. Run blocking is even easier in the rain.

If you are an O-lineman you don’t make it to the NFL level if you can’t run block.

A perfect mix of holding the ball too long, OL getting beaten one on one, and OL missing assignments and not blocking anyone. Balance!
One sack was given up by a TE trying to play RT and another was given up when the LG was tripped by his own RB.

I'm not a former OL, but from talking to ones they sure seem to love run plays because they get a chance to go crunch someone on their terms.

Seems like something this line could use right now. And I'm very much pro-pass, but all situations are different.

3 and out on 3 pass plays. RR needs to reign EB in.

No. One person to blame. The assistant HC and offensive coordinator. EB. His play calling is bordering on the absurd.

I mean, the GM/HC failing to take the line seriously for 2 straight seasons is a fundamental and never-ending problem. But also EB is doing nobody involved any favors. Play to the talent you have.

The line is not the problem. Well there might be a problem at RT. They have a rookie QB who had thrown the ball 29 times and their RB1 has run the ball 7 times. That’s the problem.

This is awesome and basically the level the D line always need to perform at to make JDR's theories work.

I mean, was anyone fooled by a single LB faking like they'd bring additional pressure? Of course they all dropped into coverage.
