Lots of overreaction all over the place. It’s the 1st half of the 1st game. Howell is gonna make mistakes all year. Normal growing pains.

Also, defenses are ahead of the offenses, as usual to start - esp with fewer preseason games.
Except for our defense. Though, in fairness, I'm not sure anyone has ever managed to stop the incandescent Josh, um, Dobbs, is it?

Arizona understands that we will almost always drop LBs back into coverage while assuming the front alone will stop things, so there will always be 5-10 free yards. This aspect of JDR's defense has been schemed around and exploited for at least 3 seasons now. He's too lazy and stupid to adapt.

DC had 24 pass attempts to 10 run attempts in the 1st half. It’s not an overreaction.

Where's Forbes been? Is he just... locking down his side already or not on the field because I don't think I've seen the dude once.

Welp, willed that into existence.

Forbes was defending that 3rd and 11 pass to Brown that was out of bounds.
My stream was just enough behind that it just happened, so I guess it's been way more of the first than the second.

Yeah, I'm an EB Hopeboy but that wasn't ideal at all. That's a lot for Howell to handle, especially when they spent the whole second quarter sold out on pass defense.

It's also quite a surprise after all the talk about how this is gonna be a run team.

Well if common sense won't make them run the ball, maybe a downpour will. Somewhere, every former Hog is drinking themselves into a rage right now.

Maybe our shaky pass-blocking is better than our run-blocking? I mean, I really hope not, but, um... there's got to be some reason, right?
