Crazy, the NFL Monday night crew hates us so much with so many ex Redskins. I got 4 and SVP. Louis Riddick, Ryan Clark, RG three and Alex Smith.

Kinda glad we didn't get Hard Knocks this year. Rather have it next year when EB is the new head coach

They aren't required to do it if they have a new head coach.

The league's criteria for teams to be eligible for "Hard Knocks" eliminates teams with first-year head coaches, teams that qualified for the playoffs the past two seasons and teams that appeared [on Hard Knocks] in the past 10 seasons.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS: Sam Howell

Kryptonite: Taking sacks

Howell is one of a number of NFC quarterbacks with a small sample size at this level, so let’s look at his biggest weakness in college: a propensity to take too many sacks. In his career, he allowed 26.7% of pressure to become sacks, and that got worse over time.

Howell’s overall sack rate was high, and it worsened in gotta-have-it third-and-long situations. In fact, only Malik Willis in recent years had a worse sack rate in those situations. This is something that needs to be improved if he is to prove a viable starting quarterback this year.

Chatter is starting to pick up re Howell's ability to read blitz pre-snap and feel pressure. ive liked the way Howell can move his legs to avoid pressure

But ... should he have anticipated/seen the blitz/pressure = can he read a D pre snap? Limited sample size but Im concerned he wont be seeing the blitz coming. Add in a new center in Nick gates who hasnt shown he is good at protections/slides and it could be a problem. Larsen might be the better play at Center honestly.

----------

young QB who struggles w pressure/sacks + poor O line + new below average Center = quick pass game

I’m probably out on fantasy. I’m already in two other leagues and I’ll be in a fantasy hockey league as well. If you guys put a league together and there’s an odd number of people let me know.

I’m retired from FF, but if you need another body, I would play. please at least a waiver league to replace injuries lol…..and a pre-rank/auto draft option would be nice instead of trying to coordinate a draft.

Seems like he feels it okay, he's just hanging in too long, desperate to make something happen on every play. Youthful optimism/hubris he'll probably grow out of. He knows when to hold 'em, just needs to learn when to fold 'em. ;)

"It got worse over time" in college because UNC got terrible. No receivers who could even get basicly open, much less make plays to help him out, and a line that got steamrolled every play.
