Not sure if this is the place to post this, but Florida State got robbed.

Yeah I understand the argument that even at 13-0 that without Travis they aren’t one of the 4 best teams in the country, but there has to be some objective criteria IMO and one of them has to be if there are only 3 undefeated power 5 teams, they all are in the playoffs. And if Georgia wins yesterday I don’t see Texas getting in over FSU. They would have taken the 4 undefeated P5 schools.

It isn’t like the rest of that team is mediocre and he carried them single handedly to a fantastic season. Their defense is excellent and they run the ball well also.

As much as I agree a 12 team playoff is going to take a reasonable amount of shine off of a lot of big regular season games, I’m glad there will be a lot less of this kind of BS going forward. Sure there are going to be some unhappy 13th teams in the future but this is a complete screw job IMO.

I’m starting to lose confidence in Howell’s ability to be more than a fringe starter. Not only his slow processing but he has a fatal flaw of not keeping his eyes downfield when moving in the pocket. He puts his head down or looks only where he is going with his feet. Essentially his pocket presence is terrible. I get a young QB making the occasional poor decision or poor read. Or thinking he can fit a ball in where he cannot. That improves with experience. I’m not sure his flaw does.

They wanted the “best matchups” for revenue purposes. So OFC Bama gets in. They simply couldn’t stomach no SEC team due to ratings and revenue.

So our blitz really wasn’t a blitz. We ruahed 2 DBs and dropped linemen into coverage. It took way too long for them to get there given how far they had to run to get to Tua. And basically left Hill in single coverage. Just an awful awful play call.

Controversial take:
The CFP has the 4 best teams today. FSU's best wins were against teams that ended up not being especially good (LSU, Clemson, L'ville.) Everybody else beat better teams, and 'Bama -- and make no mistake, I hate 'Bama -- beat the 2-time defending Nat'l Champion on what is basically their home turf. They're also a much better team than they were at the beginning of the season. And, while everybody hates the SEC -- it's a far better, stronger conference than the ACC. Both today and a month from now, all four of the teams in the CFP are better -- and have a better chance of winning -- than FSU does.

Non-controversial take:
OMG, this team sucks. Remember a few weeks back when there were some folks who really believed we were a playoff contender? At least we're not going to lose any draft order ground this week.

I really don't think you understand why people, including the owner himself, have said they shouldn't make the move mid season. It has nothing to do with results down the stretch, or with how "deserving" RR is. Or maybe you understand but don't agree with it, but there are very clear and valid reasons for this approach.
