2. Not putting effort into getting the first down earlier. The more clock we eat up, the closer the game.
3. Choosing to run on 4th and 1 with a stacked d-line.

As much good Howell did in the first half, he’s been “meh” in the second. His habit of putting his head down when moving in the pocket is a problem. Not to mention he needed to understand it’s 4th down; if you have to force a pass in, do it . Give the receiver a chance.

He has most definitely not cemented his job next season, even if I think there’s potential there.
