Here's what I said:

View attachment 770842

RR hasn't earned anything beyond the shot he's been given this year in order to perform without DS looking over his shoulder and whispering in his ear.

If the season is lost then there's nothing wrong with giving EB a shot, but I'll be surprised if the ownership group makes that move unless there are some really bad optics and fan unrest manifesting in poor PR and attendance.

2 years ago the team was dead last in the league with 64% attendance vs capacity. Last year it went up to 85%. This year it's 95%. Even before the pandemic they were just under 80%. So there's an upward trend there. The question is whether Harris & Co see that as an obligation to do something, or a reason to stand pat.
I just don’t believe ownership is going to decide to deal away Sweat and Young, reportedly against Rivera’s wishes, and then fire him later in the season for not winning enough.

Winning became an afterthought the minute they threw in the towel on the season with those trades. And ownership would be sending a very inconsistent message if they canned him now IMO, and I don’t think they would want to be seen that way.

I think they wait until the season is over and then clean house. Then let the new regime move forward with a clean slate and a couple more day 2 picks.

Boo freaking hoo, to this clown.
That’s why I posted it…so we could all revel in it!

If they fiat out went against his wishes and gutted the team out from under him….why keep the man? After the Cowboys roll us….there’s a window….or they could just let him run it straight into the ground the rest of the season I guess….I guess some see that course as more dignified….I second guess that path for now…

^^ thats our fanbase when Shanny was fired. im sure we will see identical language when Ron's contact is not renewed.

Goon - youre a learned dude, you see all the angles .. surprised you dont think we should show Ron respect and let him and his crew finish out the year.

Rons not an X and O guy, Ron picked and was too loyal to his asst HC, especially JDR .. BUT he did inherit a Haskins problem, did everything he could to find a QB and was a respected father figure to our players.

Ron was the unflinching captain through a LOT of off field BS. he did with dignity and respect and humility

Now we have every local radio talking head calling Ron a liar and swarmy
----------------

But thats what WE do. Not Dan this time. We, Us.

We as a collective fan base are stupid undeserving assholes

We = Dan Snyder

hope Josh Harris doesnt bend to the BS noise coming from the DMV

Ron deserves a heartfelt thank you when his time is done here .. and it is done.

i hate the collective cancer this fanbase has become

we are all Dan Snyders

Not all of us.

From the outside and based mostly on this thread for Washington feedback I was pretty on board with the idea of booting Rivera and JDR

But then I thought of the worst and best case scenarios. Now best case, these guys are still probably out of date and losing games, which works for the franchise but not the coaches involved. Worst case they manage to do the same thing they did before and f*** up draft position by winning a handful of games and losing the position of a handful of picks to nobody's benefit.

Flip side, if you bring in an interim coach that dude suddenly wants to win games and prove himself in a way that RR and company don’t have to do because they know what’s up, you end up with roughly the same problem because that guy is trying to prove he can win but the team really shouldn't if they want to actually make a change, and a new coach with a great pick is a good thing.

And if the team stinks down the stretch anyway you definitely don’t want that to be on the interim guy instead of they guy they know they’ll be letting go… if I'm Harris maybe this is the best move, because while we can pretty much all agree that most of the coaching personnel involved right now suck all the walnuts in the world, that's the kind of "starting from scratch" approach a lot of us would take.

f*** it, when I play Madden if I'm doing a rebuild that first season's in the can from scratch, I usually simulate it and play hands off because the team is broken. I want a builder pick, I'm not trying to wildcard my way into things, I'm in it for the long haul. No reason to go for an interim coach when I'm getting what I wanted/planned for.

I would assume that the candidate pool is smaller and weaker mid-season. Don't most talented coaches have jobs? Wouldn't they be busy in November/December trying to win games instead of interviewing for their next gig? I don't really see the point in causing all the drama and bringing somebody in on an interim basis. Just let it play out and have a smooth transition in the off season.

The interim guy is already on staff…the permanent hire, yes….

Yeah the special teams coordinator is getting it done and deserves a chance to Robiskie this team to a glorious finish.

Seriously, he ‘might’ be the guy. We’ll never know if we don’t give him the chance. I’m just saying…;)

I mean they did somehow manage to beat Dallas last year.

But I think this game is going to get super ugly. Dallas' passing offense is incredible.

That's what I'm looking at. The WFT secondary will have to play the game of their lives today.

Pollard is just OK, imo. Dak can make mistakes. The TEs are good. But that WR group is next level all the way down.

DAL defense is a little banged up but still lethal. Our defense is run by dime store Patches O'Houlihan.

That’s an insult to dime store Patches O’Houlihan.
