On paper this should be a layup but the Commanders were favored by 5...5! last time they played these guys and lost.

Giants are extremely impaired by injury and most of their OL is hurt. In theory it should be easy for Washington but that almost never happens. It had to take an incompetent Joe Judge to win comfortably against these guys, and that was a Week 17/18 game with nothing on the line lol

“Washington Commanders defensive linemen Chase Young and Montez Sweat both have contracts expiring after the season and could be on the trade block,” Russini began. “I was told Washington has made calls to take the temperature of the market but is staying patient now and that the next two weeks of play will shape the decision on their futures.”

Should be straight forward regardless how the next 2 weeks go. Resign Sweat and trade Young.

At least jones is not playing. Dont care how bad hes looked this year he always goes prime tom brady against us.

Still wouldnt be surprised if the giants as a whole suddenly look like a contender against us tomorrow, we made fields and the bears look amazing

I have had a shitty sports weekend. Both my fantasy teams are in bad shape after Thursday night, Navy sucked, Caps stink. The Commanders are the only thing left that can salvage the weekend for me… what could possibly go wrong?

I've read Jones is trending toward playing.

edit: nm looks like they changed the tweet

I think we all agree it's a combination of both. That said when you are historically bad it's hard to pin that much blame on not historically bad o line.

Not sure that "not historically bad" really tracks in our case. All of our recent QB starters have been annihilated, missed large chunks of time, and three had their careers irrevocably altered. Our O-line has sucked hard for a pretty long time.

AR plays an inherantly more dangerous style at QB.

Not sure that matters much when you play for a team that showed zero interest in protecting a phenomenally talented franchise QB for his entire (shockingly short) career. I'll never understand that, and it doesn't surprise me that they went out and got someone that could be better at running for his goddamn life every week.

I imagine the US will win each game 45-3 or something and the whole show will be silly. It strikes me as a pointless exercise.

How do the Olympics line up with rugby season? The talent for flag football might be far more interesting and nationally diverse with those dudes in the mix.

D looks good early.

For MLR (the US league) it usually ends before the olympics start in july / august.

Believe it is the same for Premiership Rugby.

Not a response to just this post, simply not going to scour the whole thread for other comments...

I don't know why people are blaming this on being a "running quarterback". The injury happened on a set run play but it wasn't an unusual tackle, like a head-on collision at full speed that you might blame on turning your QB into an RB.

This tackle could've happened on a scramble or in the pocket.

The problem is Richardson fell awkwardly, for some reason extending his elbow toward the ground instead of tucking. Maybe he was protecting his head since he had a concussion recently. That's also not unusual for anyone in the NFL.

So his upper arm would've pistoned into his AC joint and probably tore his rotator cuff.

He was looking really good as a QB before this. Shame his season ended this way. Shoulder injuries can take a long time to heal and he may not have the same arm strength or mobility later. Depends on how good the doctors and rehab are.

If his season ended because of a called run when he was still protecting a recent concussion, then some coaches have some splainin to do.

Pocket passers get injured at a higher rate than scramblers. Most QB injuries happen in the pocket.

lucky that FG was pushed incomplete

TV just flashed the Washington offense statistics, not too good

But look at KC without Bieniemy lol. Offense isn't as "gelled"...
