I know that I'll get lambasted here for saying this, but what about Jarnkrok at C again for a sustained period?

He played the majority of his career at C prior to this year. Defensively responsible. Not a black hole offensively. Face offs were not good last year, but historically good when playing C consistently throughout the season.

The biggest issue would be having one of MK, TB, NR or MD on their off wing.

The only thing Tavares is really good at any more, other than faceoffs, is net front presence on the PP.

He can play 4C and make up his extra minutes through specific deployments like Dzone draws.

Keefe shuffles lines based on where draws happen. It'd be really disappointing to have a terrible bottom 6 since we finally are able to spread out the depth.

Kampf should not be centering a third line especially when our depth scoring is already questionable. He's a very good 4th line C who excels defensively and is asked to play tons of tough minutes but he should not be asked to create offense because that's not really his strength.

If Tavares declines further, our C position becomes a huge potential problem.

If Domi wasn't reported to be such a lousy defensive center, I'd say make him the team's sometimes 3rd line center. This would give the team its maximum potential of scoring depth. Domi on the wing with Kampf and Jankrok may be an underrated offensive threat. Kampf is not talentless with the puck, just a bit basic with questionable finish. However I don't think Domi signed here to play only with the likes of Kampf and Jankrok. I'm betting he has been assured that he'll spend some time on either Matthews' or Tavares' wing.

Actually, that could well be the second line, in which case why do you have the team's best faceoff man plus one of the league's best passers on the third line?
