Agree. If Nico is out we need to get Bratt going. Maybe Mercer can help.

Yeah I'd want Mercer as the 2C but maybe they're thinking of having more of a defensive compliment to Bratt/Shango I wouldn't be too mad til Nico's back. Mercer after his first half last year was pretty meh/bad defensively in the second half. Also could be a good sign that they played Haula there that Nico is back for the opener, Mercer would be the more logical long term.
Bratt doesn't need anyone for him to be himself. He had his moments in the preseason but clearly wasn't taking things all that serious. Mercer should be there because he has more to offer than Haula does

Chris Terreri is also there (I think he still is?) as the goalie coach for Bridgeport, which I believe he has been since we fired him and hired Melanson.
I had no issues with Terreri as goalie coach, but Melanson was a hire I supported and a firing I did not support.
What a who’s who of Devils rejects. Literally.
Eric Boulton is still a scout I believe. His tenure with the Islanders predates the rest of the Devils guys.
And a lot of people here hated all the Penguins guys coming in after Shero took over.

Goal 2 on Blackwood was terrible garbage in that game. It led to a 2 minute Bleedred-like commentary from Butch Goring on how you need a save and Devils goaltending the last two years is a shit show. Normally Butch is going on about how great the Islanders are.
I thought the fifth goal in that game sucked too.
I don’t agree. The only goal I can remember Vanecek allowing that I didn’t like was the first goal he allowed in the first Islanders game. I think it was his first preseason game. It wasn’t really a bad goal, but it was one I thought he could have had.
There was a post hit in I think the last Boston game where he was beaten short side on a bad angle, but that was it.
.928% to .905%.
And then you have the last two seasons which is .908% to .898%.
And that even includes Blackwood’s first 5 games of 20-21 before he fell off the rails.

Zürich might be my favorite city in the world now. Incredible. Currently getting ready to take a coach down to the Swiss Alps for some hiking and to explore the Interlaken and Grindelwald area.
Saw a Nico doppelgänger here as well lmao. I was like nah, he has a game in Boston or is still in an iron lung so it couldn’t be him.

i went and saw a couple of tapings on mutual street in 93....old cbc studio...back alley....not what they have now a bit west downtown
... they had enough space to do various sets.... in between costume changes there would be the shadowy men playing live back, back right on the bleachers .....thats where i went ....it was all general admission.
i loved both....the kids and the band
f***ing high school huh.

my band used to play it for soundchecks to be dicks cause theres no vocals......so the sound guy would ask "can you guys do something with singing" (parapharsed)
we would play joy division warsaw....... it has that surf guitar solo sound we loved ...and still love
