I think that's the issue for NYR. You put Fox on Jack and then that Tatar-Nico-Mercer line opens up which has arguably been our most consistent line in the second half. Timo might eventually settle on that line come playoffs. They might legit put Meier on line 3 to start the playoffs which is f***ing absurd.
I'll have to take my chances. Every opponent in the East is good.

You don't beat yourself by not playing your best.

Experience is overrated and Kane sucks 5 on 5. Devils need to stay out of the box.

The deeper teams go in the playoffs, the more valuable experience is. Hence why we almost always see a non-experienced team get beat handedly in the cup finals by a team that was just recently in the finals.

I honestly don't understand why Devils and Isles fans don't hate each other more than we do. Just because we both hate the Rangers doesn't mean we shouldn't hate each other.
For all of Lou's mistakes in the later days, it will always be hard to root against the principles of why he was great. Plus, Isles fans have been through a lot they didn't ask for.

Fair enough. For what it's worth, Miller when he was playing at his best this season could probably be effective with Jack but the last month and a half he's been a shell of himself. Story of that guy's career.

That series could be the Bruins v Devils in the ECF, Devils could have a carbon copy run/season this year like our first round opponent had last year.

Rangers in 5 or 6. Devils were a lotto team last year. They have some learning to do in the playoffs before they start seeing success.

He and Trouba just aren't a good pair together. Never were.

Miller is an athletic marvel and Trouba throws massive hits so they can basically be as bad as they want and pass the eye test.

I want to see the Devils flourish in the playoffs but nobody has seen this Devils core in the playoffs yet. They will be nervous in game 1, they need to get their nerves in check because this Rangers team is hungry and their run from last year I'm sure is still in their players memory. If NJ beat the Rangers then a Boston vs NJ matchup would be great to see.

This entire thing could've been said about the Rangers v Pens series last year, lol. Just find it funny that the Rangers fans in here are taking us more seriously than the netural observers but it's nothing new for NJD.

My emotions say the Rangers have no chance and the Devils will score about 7 or 8 a period even on prime Hasek. But reality is it shouldn't be lopsided.

Don't really get the whole "Learning to do" comment people make.

The Devils have been the best comeback team this season, They don't easily give up so it isn't like they are a mentally soft young team.
