I think that's the issue for NYR. You put Fox on Jack and then that Tatar-Nico-Mercer line opens up which has arguably been our most consistent line in the second half. Timo might eventually settle on that line come playoffs. They might legit put Meier on line 3 to start the playoffs which is f***ing absurd.

Rivalries are born in the playoffs and NJD-NYI don't have that history. (Plus both teams were really bad when the other was dominant).

Not sure what Kanes numbers are with the Rangers but you acquire a guy like him for the playoffs plain and simple. Kane is a monster in the playoffs, it's just in his blood. A natural born winner all throughout his career.
