42 Brett Sutter and 23 Jeremy Welsh were sent back to Charlotte today

(unknown number) Chris Terry gets the callup for his first NHL game, and we have no word where he will slot in the lineup. Tim Brent back in as 4th line C tonight.

I wouldnt expect Wallace on the 2nd line, most likely Dwyer, unless they give Terry a chance up there. If so, expect dwyer on the 4th since Jokinen, Wallace, and Nash have been playing well together on the 3rd line. Also could see Jokinen up on the 2nd line. At this point, its who knows after the the first line (obviously keeping Staal-Semin-Tlusty together)

expect Ellis in net as Peters started the last 2

hope this helps

If there's one team I didn't want to face during our epic losing streak, despite our comeback win agains the Sabres, it's the Canes... Hate that team with a passion and for whatever reason, we always seem to struggle against those ****ers.

I see a loss in the horizon.

Would love to see DeBoer cut out the stupid Kovalchuk double shifting now. It never actually helps the team, it tires Kovy out even more, and it adds unnecessary minutes to his already inflated total. I will never understand the reasoning behind it. You can't play someone on two ****ing lines all season.

Agreed, if they're going to dbl shift him at least double shift an entire line of skilled people otherwise it's always the same result where talent on the 4th line can't keep up and nothing ever happens. Maybe one day he'll score a goal while double shifted but it's not worth the risk of injury.

I'd love to see stats on any actual offense (if any!) created when Kovy is on his double-shifted line. I can't remember a goal, or even a scoring chance when Kovy is double shifting with the bottom 6.

Bryce Salvador did not make trip with upper body injury

that's one way to get the captain out of the line up

I was waiting for a "injury" to pop out of no where regarding Salvador. Hope everything is alright but I can say it actually helps us more then anything for the time being.

Larsson and Harrold in the lineup... I can live with that.

I mentioned the other day that he needs a "maintenance day" to get get out of the lineup. He did have 106 consecutive game streak going so who knows. He could be a little banged up plus the condensed schedule thing.

so happy sal is out. gonna be there tonight with my new kovy jersey

TGfireandice: Devs' lines at morning skate: Ponikarovsky-Loktionov-Kovalchuk; Elias-Henrique-Clarkson; Matteau-Zajac-Bernier; Carter-Gionta-Kostopoulos.

yeah, I really like that third line. Great potential.

It's one of those things where all three of them should legitimately score 20 goals in the NHL in a season but... it's too early for Matteau, Zajac has been awful, and Bernier has underachieved for a first-rounder.

I really like the way Bernier has been playing - he has all of the tools and has looked as good as I've seen him in this uniform.

Maybe the three could find some chemistry and we get a third scoring line.

No Salvador, Lokti on the first line, Zajac on the third line, I'm feeling good about this now.

So:
Greene-Larsson
Zids-Fayne
Volch-Harrold

This is a good looking d core imo. There's a puck mover/non-grenade handler in every pairing. I like how the forward lines look too.
