I was planning on going to the Somerset Patriots Sopranos Night game on May 31 but the NJ Transit train strike has me scrambling. I'm going to do my best to not waste the $60 for a game and a guaranteed bobble head. If anyone lives in NYC and can drive me to Bridgewater, DM me. I will comp you with a ticket.

Theres a good chance that they'll have it settled by then so I wouldn't stress it too much yet.

I too have many gauges booked. I check my local dam for discharge >2000 because that’s when the Ospreys & Bald Eagles feed.

Make for some great shots.
Great photos! Ospreys are awesome, they should be the state bird. They dive bomb my boat every time I drift past one of their nests which are on top of a ton of channel markers off LBI. I mean really vicious where you need to take cover, always protecting their young. Those talons are nasty, we're talking about Screaming For Vengance cover.

I surf a lot, even as an old timer lol, and I swear I would see them 7 times out of 10 coming back from waaaaaay offshore with a fish that's half the size of them or more (usually a bunker) on the way back to their nest. Really cool and never gets old every time I see it.

Have you fished Burrell’s Ford? My favorite trout stream in the southeast
It wasn't on my list. I'm about an hour and a half south west of there close to Helen. Maybe I'll hit that on the way out?

.I haven't fished yet. A lot of water is high and off colored from the storms that came through a few days ago. I'm in no rush, I'm content with sightseeing for now :)

That sounds like cat fishing conditions.

I never got into cat fishing. That's one kind of fishing that just never appealed to me. Too much sitting and waiting.

You don’t think putting your arm into a hole in water so muddy you can’t see through it where there are also snapping turtles and snakes and gators is fun?

That's noodling.

He's talking about regular fishing.. throwing out a big chunk of chicken livers on a hook and sitting and waiting on a bank for a catfish to bite.

Not my idea of fun today but when I was younger me my friends used to catfish all night in the summer until the sun came up. Was more like a party than fishing though.

Noodling is insane.

The videos of the Mexican Navy ship crashing into the Brooklyn Bridge were crazy. Apparently 2 dead and several still really hurt.

Sounds like it was like the Baltimore disaster in that the ship lost power.

They reached a tentative agreement so you should be good...

If I know one thing about Mexico, it's that they're making memes about this as we speak. Some might not even contain Dragonball Z or The Simpsons!

We are enjoying Georgia so much that my wife is checking out real estate in these gorgeous mountains. The people have been fantastic, the natural beauty is amazing, the small towns are spectacular... Not that much different from the experience we had in the mountains of North Carolina, but a little more real. I'll most likely never leave my New Jersey but no doubt I'll come back here some time soon.

some people.....

I feel like I need more details before I judge. Did he just have a rash that went away in an hour? Then yeah whatever, if he ended up needing an ambulance and a hospital stay then it's a different story. Some people have some severe allergic reactions to thing.

There was a woman at a Disney Springs restaurant not that long ago that died over a severe allergic reaction after she was reassured her food was cooked correctly.

Northern Georgia is gorgeous. My buddy has a cabin on Lake Burton and it's awesome.

the idea that someone at that sort of risk can blunder through life making everyone else responsible for their idiosyncratic allergy bothers me. If you are that susceptible to some onions look at the hamburger when you unwrap it. Moron.

When I think of northern Georgia I think of the old Adult Swim show Squidbillies, which is apparently accurate for the kind of... personalities that live up there.
