TG always posts shit like that , even when he was covering the Devils. He would always include a small negative tidbit as a backhanded dig on the team. Closet Rags fan .
He is a good reporter but always had small negative little jabs to throw out there where you could tell he has something afpgqinst the Devils. He did admit at one point to be a Rags fan back in his day.
Where's the negative jab - He's just stating facts here.

If I see anybody say we were goalied tonight (which would be false) I might assault somebody.

Luukkonen is trash and did more to keep us in the game than anything. He may actually be worse than Michael Houser, which is pretty sad.

I could see the Sabres trading for Swayman (maybe a main board proposal put that into my head?) and him going back to Boston and having okay results as Ullmark's backup next year, but in very sheltered and limited minutes/games.

Whatever. I'm pretty sure we'll bust the Sabres open in a couple more weeks when we play them again. There's little chance we could play as poorly as we did tonight. There's not even been a handful of games worse than this on the entire season.

Thats good. Did they win the smaller one before it?

If only we had that Sergei Bobrovsky instead of Blackwood and Palats contract

Really? They gave up way too many rushes tonight and 5 goals .. Hockey is a game of inches not excuses

Im pretty sure we out chanced them tonight.....

We just gave them too many rushes early and we didnt get a lot of saves at the key moments. Vitek was better than Schmid, though.

Does anyone have the advanced stats, posession tonight....?

We would have murdered them if the team showed up.

I'd rather have Bobrovsky than Blackwood. But not at his contract, which is the worst in the league right now that hasn't been LTIR'd.

I'd rather have most anybody than Blackwood, I think, other than Quick, Campbell (don't get me started on his contract) and probably any of these dopes Buffalo are icing this year.

I'm not even gonna get into Gillies or Hutchinson or guys like that, as they aren't actual NHL goalies, but just call ups from the AHL.

If the Rags somehow get into a position where they're passing us, they could easily pass Carolina if they sputter out and we get them in round one.

I'd rather play the Rags, but I'd also rather play Kochetkov, Andersen, shitty Raanta (who killed them last year against the Rangers) or whoever the Canes can throw at us than Shesterkin.

But I'm admittedly getting very ahead of myself here.

We need to play much better tomorrow night. We just didn't deserve to win or even be in this game tonight.

We only even scored 4 goals in this game because Buffalo's not that good at anything other than offense and Luukkonen is grade a KHL caliber TRASH.

Rangers still got some barbs in the schedule ahead. (Us included). Florida is fighting for their lives. I dont see them passing us at moment.

We get a few wins we will be back where we were.

I don’t put a lot of stock into the games that went past regulation in this most recent stretch so I’m not overly concerned. This sounds like a bad one and similar to how the Florida game went without Schmid being able to stand on his head the way he did in that game.

Luckily, much like that Florida game, we can respond with a better effort tomorrow and all will be forgotten. Hopefully we do, we clinch, and we can start looking ahead.

Honestly they look a bit exhausted and out of gas.

Need to hope the lighter schedule helps them find a second wind. Jack might have already found his which is a plus.

I am legit getting to the point where I would consider sitting Graves for Luke

Lukey is a great keeper. To call him bad is unreasonable. He beat us - take it

The Devils got stuffed and couldn’t get anything going against Florida. Florida was better that night.

Tonight was just pond hockey where either team could have scored a bunch, Devils just ended up with 1 less. This was a pretty even game with a pretty even score.

Haula Hughes Mercer isn’t working. Reunite the top 6 and just let Meier cook with them.

90 13 91
96 86 63
18 56 70
17 20 25/44/14

I also like having Sharangovich in the lineup. Even 4th line. Dude is a FANTASTIC PKer.

Someone can look it up because I'm too lazy, but has the mercer + Hughes ever really worked? It feels to me like it hasn't
I believe they had a fantastic two games together earlier in the year. Literally the best analytics of any line. Sal showed it a few games ago. Guess thats why staff gave it a go. But it hasnt worked.

Keep 90 13 91 together, they found gold there.

Good to know. I missed this one so I’m just going off of how the numbers played out goal wise.

Hopefully we come back with a more detailed effort tomorrow.

Bullshit he's a great keeper. You're WAYYYYY off.

He's BAD in the NHL , he's BAD in the AHL. ANCIENT Craig Anderson has been better than him behind the same team. Granted, he's been used much less and I wouldn't expect him to still be better if he played a whole lot more games than he has.

Seriously dude, if he's a ''GREAT KEEPER'' there are no BAD keepers in the league.

What'a a bad keeper to you if he isn't one? Jonathan Quick in 2023? Look, even he's performed above league average in the 5 or 6 games in Vegas!

I'd love to use the ''Everything that guy just said is bullshit'' line, but he did beat us. You got that right, He had little to do with it.

By the way, just who are you a fan of anyway? You just posted on the Rangers board on Tuesday night ''I can't believe we lost da game''. I noticed that the other night when you kept talking like you're a fan of the Devils. I went to go confirm if you were an Islanders fans and saw that rubbish from the Rangers forum.

You used to be an Islanders fan, or you still are lol or pretend to be lol. Not sure why you're watching our game when the Islanders game is on at the same time.

Close games or not, the truth is we have lost a bunch and haven't had a dominant game other than the flyers game weeks ago. Even the carolina victory they controlled the play and we just outgoalied them. It's still much better than last season, but looks nothing like they did during that 13 game win streak.

Mercer’s best moments are stickhandling to beat guys 1 on 1 and I think he works better when his line isn’t high paced; so I don’t think he’s a great stylistic mesh with Hughes who you want to have the puck a bunch.

Haula works well. Bratt works pretty well. I might throw Palat and Haula out there currently and see how that goes.

At this point, I suppose that might be the best option. But I assume if lindy had any appetite for it, he would have put Meier with Hughes and Bratt tonight when he shuffled the lines.
