Honestly, we didn't have the urgency needed to tie the game after the fourth goal. It seemed like Buffalo was daring us to tie it, but we just couldn't get up for it. That's the story of this game.

You can usually tell when we're gonna tie the game up before we do and I didn't feel that tonight at any point shortly after the last Hughes goal. I felt we could after that, but not once play resumed.

It was a disaster.

Nobody is looking at that final shot by Jack and saying his wrist isnt bothering him lol (even though he had two nice goals today)

That was as hard as a peewee would shoot it! His shot has lost its zip

Hoping whatever the issue is can be resolved over the offseason without surgery
It was more of trying to get it to the net mouth. There wasn’t much else there and the puck was jumping if I remember correctly and it was a quick decision to throw it on net.

The dude scored three* goals and made many great plays. That looked like January Jack tonight.

I really don't think we were gonna tie it anyway, but Severson just totally lost the puck like a BOOB and then the penalty took away 2 minutes of us to potentially attack.

You certainly can't blame the loss on him, but he did us no favors and may have put the final nail in.

The final nail that had enough probably already in it to ensure it was closed for good.

The severson penalty definitely threw a wrench into the flow of trying to tie it. But again, I hated the lack of shot attempts on the 6 on 5. Did a really good job getting in and setup then didn’t generate shit. Kept passing it around.

I will not be sad to see Severson go. He is capable of playing great hockey but his bonehead penalties seem to always come at the most inopportune times. This is the second game I remember in which he took a late, unnecessary penalty to thwart a comeback. He just doesn’t have it between the ears. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Yeah I thought he was basically just throwing it at the net and hoping for a deflection/rebound since time was running out.

Im starting to think a NYR first round will suit them the best. Rags simply cannot keep up with our skating. Thats when this team shines. I want the banner, but would rather not play FLA.

We can forget about catching Carolina at this point. Right now they have to worry about the Rangers catching them for home ice.

Severson costs us another game.

Get him off the team

I mean, Sevs wasn't the reason for all the early massive defensive breakdowns or the reason Schmid didn't make one big save.

But man are Sevs brain farts costly and always exceptionally ill timed.

Enough f***ing around

This is the second really AWFUL game we've played in less than a week, with the Florida game being the first.

Go in there and beat the ever loving f*** out of CREAM OF THE CRAP LOSER Ottawa tomorrow night.

And don't tell me how good they are or how good Buffalo is, these teams are 25-something points behind us right now.

There's some teams, like Boston again, the Rangers, but there's also plenty of floatsam and jetsam like Buffalo again, Washington, the piece of shit Jackets and Hawks.

TG always posts shit like that , even when he was covering the Devils. He would always include a small negative tidbit as a backhanded dig on the team. Closet Rags fan .
He is a good reporter but always had small negative little jabs to throw out there where you could tell he has something afpgqinst the Devils. He did admit at one point to be a Rags fan back in his day.
